In an ideal world, everyone would be kind to one another simply because that is the right thing to do. In reality, however, there are a lot of rude people out there. On the bright side, some stars appear to be kind and down to Earth. However, there also are some stars who are notoriously brutal to the people around them.

Roberts Reputation

Throughout Julia Roberts’ incredible career, she starred in so many movies that mean the world to moviegoers that she earned the right to be called America’s Sweetheart. Despite that, it has become pretty well known that Roberts didn’t get along with a couple of her famous co-workers.

While talking to The New York Times about her movie I Love Trouble in 1993, Julia Roberts revealed exactly how much she disliked her co-star Nick Nolte. After stating that she and Nolte “(got) on each other’s nerves”, Roberts called Nick “completely disgusting” before finishing up by saying that he seems to “go out of his way to repel people”.

In addition to feuding with Nick Nolte, Julia Roberts notoriously didn’t get along with Steven Spielberg. In fact, Spielberg reportedly hated working with Roberts so much that he nicknamed her Tinkerhell on the set of their movie Hook. Of course, it takes two to tango so it would be unreasonable for people to presume that Roberts was responsible for her thorny relationships with Spielberg and Nolte. That said, learning about Roberts’ feuds makes it a little less surprising that another famous actor recounted having a negative experience with her.

An Impressive Career

During the mid-‘90s, ER became a massive hit with TV viewers and it earned near-universal praise from critics. In fact, the show remains so beloved that it still has a devoted fan base made up of people who want to know everything about ER. While there are many reasons for ER’s lasting success, one of the most notable is that the show boasted an incredible cast when it debuted. Despite ER’s all-star cast, there is no doubt that George Clooney and Julianna Margulies were ER’s most talked-about cast members during the early seasons.

From 1994 until the year 2000, Julianna Margulies helped to make ER one of the most successful shows on television until she opted to quit the show. Once Margulies left ER behind, it took her a while to find another trademark role. However, she would pop up and give stellar performances in shows like Scrubs and The Sopranos in the years that followed.

In 2009, Julianna Margulies would once again find herself on top of the acting world when her show The Good Wife became a massive success. In the years that followed, Margulies played an incredibly important role in The Good Wife’s seven seasons of success. Most recently, Margulies agreed to star in the second season of The Morning Show which means she is rubbing elbows with stars like Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell.

A Rude Encounter

After The Good Wife became a huge hit, the show’s star Julianna Margulies began to make the talk show rounds. As a part of that circuit, Margulies went on Late Show in 2010 and during her appearance, she told host David Letterman that she used to be a waitress before she found stardom. Unfortunately, Margulies then went on to reveal that she had an awful experience waiting on Julia Roberts.

"I worked at one of these restaurants where it was only famous people who came in...And years later, I bumped into one of them: Julia Roberts. She's lovely ... when you're not waiting on her." After initially shading Roberts, Julianna Margulies went on to talk about what happened once she met Julia again once both of them were famous.

After coming across Julia Roberts when they were both working on plays in the same area, Julianna Margulies talked to the a-lister about their first interaction. "I said, 'You know I waited on you once.' And she said, 'Oh God, was I horrible?' And it's like ... 'Yeah, kind of.' And she said, 'I was young!' ... We were both 23. She was a huge star at the time, and there was 20 people around her. She admitted it, she was like, 'Oh, I'm so sorry ... and then she bought me dinner.'"
