Snoop Dogg may be a talented rapper, but he is a little less smooth when it comes to his romantic relationships. At least that was particularly true back in the 1990s, when he cheated on his wife Shante Broadus. The rapper’s infidelity had unintended consequences, though. His mistress Laurie Holmond got pregnant, and Julian Corrie Broadus was born.
Because of the circumstances of his birth, Julian has been quite the mystery to the American public. As a child, the yearning son wasn’t invited to appear alongside his father and half-siblings in the reality show Father Hood, leaving many fans with questions. Who exactly is Julian? Standing Up & Standing Out
While Julian was not always publicly recognized by his father, the young man was able to stand up for himself and become an official part of Snoop Dogg’s family. In 2004, the rapper filmed the music video for “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” featuring Pharrell, and ultimately decided to include three of his sons in the shot. Yes, this included Julian.
The experience must have inspired the young boy, because years later he admitted in an interview that he would consider pursuing a music career. A report by Nail Buzz even quotes Julian explaining that music is his way of standing out from the crowd. “When I was a basketball player, I could only do so much, and I couldn’t be unique,” he stated, “Everybody plays basketball, and this music stuff is what I love. I’m really glad God opened those doors for me.”
An Unexpected Career
Julian once considered following in his father’s footsteps, but now the young adult is focused on making his own dreams come true. According to Julian’s Instagram account, he is employed by the prestigious real estate group Agents of LA. The company is known for working with celebrities in the Southern California area. Julian, for one, says he is based in the Long Beach area. How exciting!
If Julian’s photos are anything to go by, the young real estate apprentice enjoys going to work looking particularly fashionable. He has posted several photos of himself at various locations in Southern California wearing some very cool clothing. In one shot, he rocks a simple white button-up, which he pairs with an open gray overcoat perfect for fall weather. Julian isn’t afraid to add a bit of a wild touch to his outfit, either. A patterned loop scarf not only adds a layer of complexity to his look; it also adds a splash of color with its green lines and bright yellow borders.
It’s still way too soon to know whether or not real estate is going to be Julian’s truest passion, but we certainly hope that he finds a world of success moving forward.
