Fans were thrilled at the announcement of a ‘BB All-Stars’ season, with all the greats making a return to the game. Although the legends are stacked, some are complaining that the season has been way too tame with the houseguests constantly playing it safe and picking off the outcasts.

Fans are also starting to let out their frustrations with the current decisions being made by the house hierarchy;

Julie Chen Isn’t Happy Either

We’re seeing a different side of Julie Chen this season, she admitted that the producers gave her a lot more flexibility, that has been evident with her closing quotes at the end of every episode.

She also hasn’t shied away from voicing her true opinion, she recently discussed the current season with EW, blaming fear and ego for the slow start and predictable eviction votes;

“I think it’s fear, ego, and the smell of half a million dollars. Fear of sticking your neck out for who and what you believe in. Those who did [Janelle and Kaysar] ended up getting evicted because they didn’t kiss up to whoever was in power. Ego, because no one wants to be the All-Star voted out earlier than the season(s) they played before. For Ian and Nicole F., they want to make history as the only two-time winner of Big Brother. The half-million dollars slipped away from all but Ian and Nicole F. This time around, these All-Stars are playing it safe... thinking slow and steady wins the race. We shall see.”

The New Twist

Evicted houseguests won’t be returning this season – however, fans have reason to get a little excited with a new twist entering the game, ‘The BB Basement’. At the very least, it’ll give those outside the alliances a chance to shake things up – Chen admitted, this power will cause lots of tension;

“I can tell you I have never in my 20 years hosting Big Brother seen anything like it. It will make it really hard for people to strategize what’s best for their game.”

At the very least, the house is about to get a serious shake-up, with Kaysar’s eviction speech and the new power in play, it’ll definitely make for some interesting weeks down the road.
