Once speaking about her relationship with the former deckhand and cast member, Chastain described Connie as her long-time friend. She noted that being birthday mates is part of their bond, although that did not seem to be common knowledge. However, Chastain admitted that she and Arias still had their differences, referring to their duo as "yin and yang." However, they get along well, and this stems from having a lot in common, including being from the same small town.

7 Chastain Has Showed Support For Rachel Hargrove

Earlier this year, Rachel Hargrove, who works as a chef on the Below Deck franchise, garnered quite some attention during one of the latest season's episodes. Hargrove had gotten on stage during the Below Deck Beach Day with the band at the beach club. Chastain weighed in on her behavior as she commended the chef for her skills. She noted on social media, "Rachel has absolutely nailed every single guest meal the entire season and earned the bulk of all the tips," She's allowed to let loose on her one day off." At another time, Kate referred to her as a great chef who could be "crazy."

6 Chastain Speaks On Francesca Rubi's Sensitivity

The Florida native and Chef Stew Francesca Rubi had a virtual meet-up last December while appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Chastain weighed in on a scene from a previous episode where Rubi had cried to Captain Lee Rosbach during the first chapter of season 8. Chastain explained that she appreciated how Ruby expressed her feelings. Chastain got candid, noting that many people do not realize the stress of their jobs as stewards. She shared that there were times she felt like Rubi did.

5 Her Thoughts On Eddie Lucas

Chastain worked with the returnee crew member in seasons two and three when he was a deckhand. In the latest season, Eddie Lucas appears in the show as a bosun. The reality's personality noted that Lucas' progress on the new season has been most interesting to watch. She relayed, "I'm really enjoying watching his progress into the grumpy old man stage; like, this year, his default setting is already like, 'Ugh, kids these days!' And it's, like, cute."

4 Chastain Disapproves Of Lexi Wilson

Earlier this month, the heated confrontation between new Chief Stew Katie Flood and stewardess Lexi Wilson played out. Wilson had been really loud, going off on Flood and not regarding her leadership. Chastain weighed in on it and noted that Wilson badly behaved. The 38-year-old added that Wilson found a way to "make everyone tiptoe around her bad behavior." Chastain said that she would not have been as "kind or patient" with Wilson's misconduct.

3 Chastain Thinks Wilson Does Not Belong In That Setting

She noted that she did not think working on a yacht suited Lexi. Chastain explained that the open sea job required working for long hours as well as being in an enclosed place with many staffers. She noted that it was a lot of hard work. The star added that the most challenging part of the job was being "socially aware and being aware of how your actions affect others for that reason."

2 She Has Weighed In On Recent Happenings On Below Deck

So far, there's been a lot of drama, with the highlight being the mystery behind Dani Soares' pregnancy. Chastain first referred to the whole play-out as something similar to the crew members square-dancing. Chastain believes that King is too hard on Kelliher concerning how they relate with each other. She referred to Kelliher as the best Chief Stew she has seen on the series. Chastain shared that she was impressed with how the 33-year-old was doing her job. She noted that King, on the other hand, should do well to take a step back. In all, Chastain has shared that she enjoyed Season 8 and how it has progressed.
