Fans think they know a lot about Keanu Reeves. In some ways, that’s true. For instance, everyone knows that he’s well known for his work on the John Wick films and the Matrix franchise, as well as 90s films such as Bram Stroker’s Dracula and The Devil’s Advocate.

The project had started out as Grant’s “private gift” for the actor. While speaking with Vogue UK. Grant revealed, “The book was made as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a private gift. All our friends sitting in the room got the giggles when I gave it to him – they said, ‘Please publish it!’ So that’s how we got into publishing.” Soon, Grant and Reeves launched a publishing company together called X Artists Books.
After working together several times, it seemed the relationship between Grant and Reeves naturally evolved into romance. And while many believe the couple only went public in 2019, it seems they had already stepped out together even before fans realized they were a couple. “It’s really astonishing to me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she goes to an event with him and everybody goes insane, like, ‘It’s his new girlfriend,’” actress Jennifer Tilly, who is good friends with the couple, told Page Six. “Because she had gone to a lot of events with him. It’s just suddenly surfaced that he’s been dating her for several years.”
Since appearing on the red carpet together, Grant and Reeves have been spotted in Berlin together where the actor was filming The Matrix 4 last year. Meanwhile, back in March, they were seen enjoying a dinner at Spago in Beverly Hills with Reeves’ good friend and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure co-star Alex Winter.

Just two years later, Syme would die in a car accident. For Reeves, these tragedies have always stayed with him. It may have even been the reason he was drawn to portray John Wick. “I absolutely relate to that, and I don’t think you ever work through it,” the actor once told The Guardian. “Grief and loss, those are things that don’t ever go away. They stay with you.”
Fortunately, Reeves seems to be doing better now, with a source even telling Closer Weekly, “He can’t believe he’s at such a good place in his life.” And that seems to be due to Grant whose “energy is very calming” for the actor. When he was asked about settling down, however, the actor told Esquire in 2017, “I'm too… it's too late. It's over.” He also added, “I'm 52. I'm not going to have any kids.”

When news of her romance with Reeves broke, Grant immediately became aware that all the attention was suddenly on her. “I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November,” she recalled. “And that’s fascinating.”
And while they have been together for quite a long time now, Grant doesn’t seem to be in a rush to tie the knot. When asked about marriage, she simply remarked, “Over a glass of wine… I would love to tell you. Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. How’s that for dodging the question?” The visual artist also added, “I do not believe that isolation is the way. There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.”
At the moment, it also seems that Grant and Reeves are just happy being together. “Keanu and Alexandra’s relationship is moving along nicely,” a source had noted. “They love and respect each other and there’s never any drama. Of course, they have disagreements, but it’s very rare.” And whether or not they intend to tie the knot soon, fans would just have to wait and see.
