8 Gastric Surgery

The most dramatic thing Kelly underwent during her transformation process, was her gastric surgery procedure. She went under the knife in 2018, and the very way her intestines and stomach handle food are now dramatically different.

While some believe this to be a "quick fix," it is far from that. Kelly had to regain control of her eating habits prior to the surgery, and the procedure itself was a major one that required an extensive healing process. Media outlets report her as saying this surgery was the "best thing" she had ever done.

7 She Maintains A Strict Exercise Routine

The surgery itself was a huge boost for Kelly Osbourne, and she lost a whopping 85 pounds almost instantly. However, that was far from the end of Kelly's journey. She is now very aware of just how hard it was to reach her ideal body weight and refuses to let herself slip again. She maintains a very rigorous, regular fitness routine to ensure she stays in shape and on top of her physical health.

6 She Has Embraced Veganism

Another drastic move that Kelly made was to embrace a vegan diet. By cutting out the meat from her food intake, she has eliminated the animal fat from her system entirely. She now thrives on a plant-based diet and is learning how to adjust her habits and lifestyle to better support this new, fresh way of eating. Keeping a vegan diet has ensured that she has more control over her weight gain and a greater level of awareness about what she is putting in her body.

5 She Has Switched Up Her Makeup Routine

Kelly Osbourne was the queen of goth for many years, and fans got used to seeing her jet black hair and excessive, dark makeup.  A huge part of her transformation is based on freshening up her makeup routine and using far less in the way of cosmetics.

She has been sporting a much more natural look lately, and when she felt like dying her hair, she opted for a vibrant, purple color. She is now looking brighter and happier than the version of Kelly that fans had seen for so long.

4 She Said Goodbye To Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is something most of us are guilty of at one time or another, but for Kelly Osbourne, it had become a really big problem. She was fixated on eating her problems away and each time she would try to ditch one of the substances she was abusing, she would replace that habit with emotional eating. This of course, led to her dramatic weight gain.

Kelly had to work hard to learn how to stop her emotional eating and focus on taking out her anxiety by seeking comfort in different ways. Her entire relationship with food was overhauled.

3 Regular Therapy Sessions

One of the most critical lessons Kelly learned through her physical transformation, was that she had to take a holistic approach to her healing. She began to attend regular therapy sessions which helped her understand how to become better at finding different outlets, and how to work towards building a better, stronger sense of self. Getting her mind to the point that she clearly understood, embracing her issues and growing ready to tackle them head-on was a significant part of her battle for a better lifestyle.

2 She Kicked The Habits

Kelly has openly admitted to being addicted to prescription pills, heroin, food, and alcohol, all at different stages of her life, resulting from various forms of trauma she had experienced over the years.

Getting herself to the point that she was physically pleased with her appearance meant that she had to tackle her addictions and habits as well. Without overhauling every aspect of her life, Kelly Osbourne realized that things would never truly get better.

She enrolled in rehab, and in spite of admitting that this was a bumpy road that involved a relapse, she has remained steadfast in her desire to kick the habits and live a clean lifestyle.
