She acted to perpetuate messages of white supremacy and hatred, and used her power to encourage people to rally around Trump and his agenda. To suddenly act as though she was not in favor of such actions seems hypocritical and was interpreted as being disingenuous.
With so much social and political unrest unfolding, leading to extreme threats of safety, Conway is certainly not viewed as a model for peace or justice.
