He discussed the situation on Seth Meyers' Late Night Show', calling the moment awkward and uncomfortable.
According to Kenan, there was a time and a place for the moment, and that place was not 'SNL'. It caused the room to completely drop while putting his fellow castmates in a tough spot.
Nonetheless, fans still had fun with the moment, especially given the casts' reaction during the speech. One fan pointed out everyone's hilarious reaction, which was evident in the background of the rapper's speech.
