Kevin Hart is easily one of the funniest men and best actors in the industry, but a big part of his career has been defined by his height. King of the self-deprecating comedy, Kevin's not afraid to use his appearance as the butt of his jokes.

But it does beg the question of how much the height jokes have affected his career, and would things be the same for the highly successful comedian if he didn't joke about his height so much?

Kevin's height is something that's helped to build a strong connection with his huge fan base, as his height has been a big deal to fans and co-stars for a while. His height is also the subject of a hilarious 'rivalry' between him and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Kevin and Dwayne are great friends who have starred alongside each other in many movies such as Jumanji and Central Intelligence. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart cannot stop pranking each other and the internet cannot get enough of it.

Kevin's Height Makes Him "Relatable"

When fans think of Kevin, there's probably not a lot they can identify with. Kevin is a highly successful actor and comedian living his best life.

He's one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood and even managed to add an impressive $65 million to his net worth during the pandemic by closing multiple deals. There may be a lot about Kevin Hart to be jealous about, but not to relate to.

So when Kevin makes jokes about his height, it may resonate with fans so much because it makes Kevin seem like "one of the people."

Through his self-deprecating jokes, Kevin shows us that he's human, that he has insecurities and flaws just like the rest of us, which may bring a sense of comfort to fans.

Kevin embracing his height, and therefore showing people that his height isn't actually that big of a deal, helps fans to embrace the things about themselves that make them feel insecure too.

What If Kevin Hart Stopped Joking About His Height?

Kevin could potentially be taking the biggest thing to connect him to his fans if he stopped the height jokes.

Without his persona of being "that short comedian," Kevin's perception would change dramatically in the public eye. Coupled with the scandals, the homophobic jokes, and his unwillingness to admit fault as he hides behind cancel-culture, is there much left to like about the comedian?

The Things That Would Save Kevin Hart If He Didn't Make Height Jokes

Kevin Hart may be hilarious (when he's not being offensive) but he's also shown us that he has a serious side through his acting roles in series such as Fatherhood and True Story.

If Kevin didn't joke about his height, perhaps in the wake of his mistakes he could become a more serious actor and play more roles like the struggling father in the emotional, heart-warming comedy Fatherhood or the famous comedian whose legacy is under threat after being wrapped up in murder with his brother in True Story.

Bringing the emotion to these roles is another way Kevin can show fans his emotional side, that even though he has a great sense of humor and knows how to make people laugh, he can still be serious and portray the more raw and serious side of human nature in order to maintain a strong connection with fans.

Kevin Hart Recommends Having Enemies If You Want To Be Successful

In his show Hart to Heart, Kevin spoke with Kelly Clarkson about what he thinks the key to success is.

"Well, my friends don't like me. If you wanna know the key to success, get friends that don't really like you," said Kevin. "That every once in a while, you catch just looking at you...like...' What you thinking right now?'"

Kelly's response was this: "You have to be surrounded by people who will call you out on your s**t," and Kevin Hart agreed.

It would seem that Kevin Hart thrives under pressure and can find strength when life knocks him down. So even if Kevin Hart did stop joking about his height, and the worst happened, anyone who knows Kevin Hart will know what would really happen to the comedian; he'd find a way to reinvent himself and bounce back.

The lack of height jokes would be missed, and it would definitely change Kevin Hart's career. But in the wake of scandals and being canceled on more than one occasion, the comedian has shown everyone that he's fairly untouchable.
