Kevin Hart is ready to make more comedy happen with a new Netflix film, Me Time. In a recent post to his Instagram story, Hart mentioned that he was so proud of his HartBeat Productions team.

"We're getting it done...it's just he beginning."

The movie is about a stay-at-home dad who finds himself with some much needed, "me time" while his wife and children are away. After reconnecting with his best friend, the two share a wild weekend of antics that nearly destroys the normal course of his life.

The film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is part of Hart's deal with Netflix to star in or produce four features, as well as establishing a first-look deal for the streaming service. Executive producers Lauren Hennessy and Joe Gatta will oversee production, alongside HartBeat Productions, Bryan Smiley.

Hart seems to be especially excited to work with Jim Hamburg, who will direct the new comedy, which should start shooting later this year. Hamburg is famous for Meet the Parents, a trilogy of films from the early 2000's that were a staple of laughs for millions, as well as Night School, another of Hart's comedies, in which he stars opposite of Tiffany Haddish.

While he waits for filming to start on Me Time, Hart will also be shooting a film adaptation of the popular video game, Borderlands. He also just finished with Sony's action comedy, Man From Toronto, which he starred in opposite Woody Harrelson.

The studio has not announced an expected release date for the movie yet, but it is expected to premiere sometime in 2022.
