As previously announced, Kim Kardashian is rebranding her makeup line and fans believe she wants to drop the "W" in "KKW." After her divorce from her ex-husband, Kanye West, that initial deems no longer necessary for her line.
It has been confirmed that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s company filed trademark documents for the rights to SKKN. She announced to fans that her KKW Beauty website would halt production on August 1, due to the rebranding process.
The outlet reported that SKKN.com and @SKKN social media handles were claimed by Kim’s team in December 2020 indicating that the project has been in the works for a while.
Kim intends to use the new name on many beauty products in the world.

Although fans speculated the rebranding comes from her divorce, Kim insists that is false. Kim claims that Kayne was part of the idea to rebrand her company and even helped shift the focus off of KKW.
Kanye has always been known for helping Kim with her business endeavors so it is no surprise he had a hand in this. The beauty mogul has always appreciated fashion advice from the rapper.
"Kim is still Kim Kardashian West and has not changed her legal name," the source said. "The rebrand has been in the works for some time. Kanye actually helped Kim come up with the new name and the packaging," the insider said. "Innovative formulas and even the shopping experience of being able to shop all categories in beauty and cosmetics under one brand, one website has always been Kim's vision from the beginning. She is incredibly excited about this next phase."
Kim already owns a highly successful brand called, SKIMS, which sells underwear, loungewear, and shape-wear.
