Unfortunately, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West won't be joining the list of celebrities who have been married for over 10 years. After six and a half years of marriage and four children, they are calling it quits. It was Kanye's run for presidency that put the final nail in the coffin.

On the other hand, Kanye is sick and tired of the family and their show KUWTK. During their time together, Kim launched her own beauty line, KKW Beauty, while Kanye West released several hit albums, e.g. 'Life of Pablo' and 'Jesus is King'.

10 2012: Kanye And Kim Started Seeing Each Other

Kanye and Kim started seeing each other in 2012 and they really tried to keep a low profile. After all, Kim's divorce hadn't even been finalized yet.

The two had known each other for nine years at that point, but they were just friends. Kanye was very vocal about his feelings towards Kim and even professed his love to her in his song 'Cold' prior to them getting together: "And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim, around the same time she had fell in love with him ..."

9 2013: Their First Met Gala Together

From the point of view of the public eye, their relationship developed at a break-neck speed. In the end of 2012, Kim announced that they were expecting a baby. In 2013, they attended the 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' Met Gala together. Kim was eight months pregnant.

Kanye got his dream girl, but he didn't appreciate just how public her life is. He successfully urged Kim to become more private: "I'm realizing everyone doesn't need to know everything. I'm shifting my priorities," she told DuJour.

8 2013: Welcome, North West

On June 15th, Kim gave birth to her first daughter, North West. Even though she became a mother, Kim didn't forsake her career. Ever since she gave birth to North, she's been just as active as she had been before.

The baby girl's name stirred up some controversy. People were confused: what kind of a name is North? By now, the world got used to it.

7 2013: The AT&T Proposal

Since they had a baby before Kanye could pop the question, he did it as soon as he could, in October 2013. He rented out the entire AT&T stadium in San Francisco and brought Kim's family and friends with them.

Kim, a Libra native, thought that they're going to have a birthday celebration, so the proposal truly came as a shock. As well know now, she said yes.

6 2014: Their Dream Wedding In Italy

In the months leading up to the wedding, Hollywood's newest power couple graced the cover of Vogue magazine and worked together in Kanye's music video for 'Bound 2'. Before the wedding, Kim flew her sisters and friends to France where she hosted a bachelorette party. Their rehearsal dinner was a huge flex: they hosted it in the Palace of Versailles’s Hall of Mirrors and they flew Lana Del Rey in for a surprise performance.

The Italian wedding itself looked like a fairytale. Kim and Kanye's wedding photo became Instagram's most liked photo of 2014.

5 2015: Saint West, The Highlight Of The Year

Kim and Kanye's first year was drama-free and centered around family. In December 2015, they welcomed their first son, Saint West, to the family. Kanye probably wasn't too thrilled about the fact that the birth was featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, even though he was otherwise close to her family.

Kim shared a photo of baby Psalm on Instagram. He is a preemie: he was born 20 days before he was due.

4 2016-2018: Before Chicago West

With two kids and empire-like careers to take care of, years flew by for Kim and Kanye. In 2016, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris and Kanye was so burnt out he needed to be hospitalized.

Kim also found out that she has a condition called placenta accreta, which could complicate things if she were to get pregnant again. And so, they chose to have their third child via surrogate. Chicago West was born on January 15th, 2018.

3 2019: Psalm West

Baby Psalm is the latest addition to the Kardashian Jenner clan, born on May 9th 2019. It was a huge year for Kanye: he released his album 'Jesus Is King'. As far as the couple goes, they renewed their wedding vows shortly after Psalm's birth.

Once again, Kim appeared on the cover of Vogue, which did a feature story on her. She revealed that she is studying to become a lawyer and that Kanye has a bipolar disorder.

2 2020: The Presidential Race

2020 is the year things started to go down for Kim and Kanye - or at least this is when the cracks started showing in public. Kim didn't condemn his presidential race, but she didn't endorse him either.

In July, he told the audience at a rally that they were considering abortion for their first child, which obviously made Kim furious. He was the one who urged her to be more private, yet revealed something so personal.

1 2021: Kim Is Divorcing Kanye For Her Own Sanity

The divorce is said to be imminent. Kim hired Laura Wasser, a divorce attorney who also worked with Angelina Jolie and Britney Spears. Page Six revealed that Kim "needed to end the marriage for the sake of her kids and her own sanity."

Kanye has been thinking about it in the summer of 2020 already. He shared his racing thoughts on Twitter, only to delete them afterwards. According to Metro, he twitted: "I've been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf for prison reform".
