KUWTK star and media personality Kim Kardashian channeled her inner Kanye West at the MET Gala. Unlike her incredible look from the 2019 edition of the annual event, where Kim wore a Mugler minidress covered in crystals resembling water droplets, her outfit this year made her unrecognizable — quite literally.

Kim Kardashian wore a black faceless full-body suit from Balenciaga haute couture. The reality television star sported a sleek 75” ponytail, along with a full-face covering. Kim wore a plain black tee under a t-shirt dress, and a full-length black bodysuit.

Kardashian's outfit heavily resembled the bodysuits she wore at New York Fashion Week and at Kanye’s DONDA listening parties. While fans thought Kim’s fashion week style made her look like an American Horror Story character, they’ve dubbed her MET Gala fit something that is much, much worse.

Kim’s Outfit Resembled The Harry Potter Dementor

Twitter users did not show Kim any mercy after she arrived at the MET Gala in her "horrifying" outfit. The Balenciaga couture dress obscured Kim’s features and physique, making her completely anonymous - which is unlike Kardashian, and not very MET Gala-ish. It’s also unknown whether Kim could see through her full-face mask.

Kim earned comparisons to a certain creature in the Harry Potter universe known as dementors. They’re gliding, wraith-like dark creatures who wear hooded black cloaks, and are considered to be some of the foulest to inhabit their world.

The resemblance between the creature’s costume and Kim’s is eerie — no wonder it’s the first thing fans thought of!

“is kim k really going to the met gala as a dementor” a user wrote.

“kim k dressed up as a dementor from harry potter wig,” said another.

“Kim is giving dementor vibes. Voldemort must be close by,” joked a fan.

Unlike Kim, her half-sister Kendall channeled her love for Audrey Hepburn and was a sight for sore eyes. Jenner wore a gorgeous embellished dress from Givenchy, a sheer beige number which was encrusted with rhinestones and accessorized with a glittering necklace.

Kim, Kendall and their momager Kris were the only members of the Kardashian-Jenner family to attend the event this year, after Kylie quit the Gala at the last minute.
