It's almost summer and that can only mean one thing: Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae are hanging out again.
Like with last year's series of pool hangs and photo ops, this pair has come together to show fans their friendship is still hot. This time they recreated an old TikTok, made a new one, and shared IG posts featuring an impressive amount of matching outfits- but all that 'twinning' may have put their differences back in the spotlight. While both are social media babes on the surface, the similarities might end there.
Inviting comparisons has made fans notice (again) that it's a bit odd for a 42 year old mother of three to have a bestie who can't even legally drink yet. Here are the loudest and strongest reactions to their age gap friendship being back in the spotlight.
They Danced In a Closet
Addison and Kourtney looked super happy to be back together again. They each posted dancing TikToks in sweatshirts with no bottoms, giggling and high fiving while nailing some TikTok choreo.
Addison's post (featured above) showed a throwback video from last summer beside this weekend's clip, inviting fans to notice the subtle differences one year makes. One main takeaway was that they had "swapped hair lengths," which we can totally agree with.
Kourtney's post involved the two of them dancing to Jaden Hossler's new track 'THINK ABOUT ME.' Addison added "reunited and it feels so gooddddddd" to Kourt's comments section.
Kourtney's Fans Are Being Critical Again
The top comment under Kourtney's TikTok (with more than 1200 likes) reads "hanging around with a child."
Some of them didn't understand why Addison is part of Kourtney's life at all.
"It's just bizarre that she's hanging out with someone about as old as her mother," reads one popular comment, "who's behaving as if she was her peer."
"Kourtney girl you definitely need to get out more and find new friends," adds another fan, with other's writing "girl you're 42" and "i'm uncomfortable."
Kourtney (and Addison) later added photos of them chilling on the grass to the IG main feed, where commentors were similarly judgy.
Messages like "kourtney ur a grown woman find a friend ur own age" and "this friendship is still so weird to me" are sprinkled between the hundreds of generic heart and fire emoji comments.
Addison's Fans Support Their Friendship
Unlike a lot of Kourtney's following, Addison's fanbase seems thrilled to see the, together again.
The top comment on Addison's new TikTok is one from a fan who says "I'm sorry but I STAN this friendship."
"Normalize hanging out with a person who is older than you," reads another comment that earned more then 600 likes on Addison's post. "There's nothing wrong with that."
Most responses to that comment agree, adding the condition that "If you're over the age of 18 yeah but otherwise it's just weird."
