Krispy Kreme has upped their game this holiday season with an ugly sweater inspired doughnut for those who love the holidays and tasty treats.
The doughnut shop is no stranger to creating unique and special doughnuts for various special occasions throughout the year. Let's be honest, it is one of the greatest things about Krispy Kreme. There is always a new design or flavor for their delicious doughnuts.
However, their holiday line of themed treats, featuring one that pays tribute to the ugly sweater, might be the company's best idea yet. The Ugly Sweater Doughnut is dipped in festive green icing. There are two different choices customers can choose from, either the classic reindeer or the fun penguin design. Both doughnuts feature yummy confetti covered on top of them and are mouthwateringly delicious.
If ugly sweater looking doughnuts are not your thing, never fear! Krispy Kreme has more holiday treats for you to enjoy. These other items are customer favorites that the doughnut chain has brought back due to popular demand. One is the Santa Belly Doughnut, which is a dipped in red icing and decorated to look like the big guy's belly. It also comes with a chocolate cream filled center, yummy.
The next item to return is the Holiday Plaid Doughnut, which is pretty much what it sounds like. A classic Krispy Kreme doughnut is dipped in white icing then decorated in red and green to make a plaid design. Last but by no means least, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut is returning. It is a doughnut dipped in chocolate icing with red, white and green sprinkles on top represent the holiday season.
It is great that the doughnut chain has unveiled four different fun holiday inspired doughnuts, but they didn't stop there. Krispy Kreme has even introduced a limited time unique flavor, Cinnamon Swirl Doughnut. The doughnut is tossed in cinnamon, then topped with alternating swirls of cream cheese and cinnamon.
All of the holiday designs and special flavors are available for customers now at Krispy Kreme. However, since they are limited edition if you want to try one, you better stop by the doughnut shop before January 2019, when these holiday treats will be gone.
