Their destination is Vista del Mar, Florida, where the two plan on spending a well-deserved vacation. Kristen Wiig Talks Working With Jamie Dornan On ‘Barb And Star’

Jamie Dornan stars as Edgar Paget, a character Wiig is excited for people to see.

“We asked him to do a lot of really crazy things,” Wiig told Stephen Colbert.

“And he’s so funny,” she continued.

Wiig described Dornan as a “dream to work with." In the trailer, her character Star and Dornan’s Edgar seem to be romantically involved, but the actress is tight-lipped.

“I’m not giving any spoilers,” Wiig said, joking that viewers should expect some “hot, steamy” action à la 50 Shades of Grey, the movie franchise for which Dornan is best known.

Kristen Wiig And Her Patagonia Vacation Gone Wrong

Just like Barb and Star, Wiig, too, has had her fair share of vacations gone wrong.

She recalled a holiday to Chile with boyfriend Avi [Rothman]. The actress described the trip as one of the best of her life, with one minor inconvenience.

“We were hiking with a guide, and he had actually been with us all week, and it was our last day,” Wiig said.

The guide let the couple go on a short hike on their own, which led Wiig to believe her boyfriend was going to propose in Patagonia. But their promenade turned into a terrifying experience when they spotted a puma in the grass.

“We were told to clap, to make a lot of noise, not to run, not to turn around,” she recalled.

While they were screaming at the puma, Wiig and her boyfriend saw a crew of puma-watchers coming down a hill. The tourists were increasingly mad at Wiig, afraid the actress would scare the puma away. Finally, the animal decided to go in the opposite direction, leaving Wiig and her boyfriend visibly shaken up.

"Basically, pumas don’t really attack people there, but… you wouldn’t know that,” she said.
