The stars were doing a flash mob sequence to promote their movie, a new rendition of Cinderella, which comes out on Amazon Prime Video on September 3.

While they appeared to be having a blast doing it, those who were in their cars and stuck at their choreography's disposal were not too pleased about the impromptu number.

It Was For A Promotional Segment For Their New Movie

Cabello and Corden were dancing alongside their co-star Billy Porter to promote the new Cinderella film that they all have roles in.

The movie's release had been stalled for a while due to COVID-related delays, but it is set to premiere this week.

To amp up the public about the film coming out, the actors took to an intersection in LA, dancing and having fun to Jennifer Lopez's hit song "Let's Get Loud".

Camila was in a fancy ballgown and Porter was dressed in costume from a similar fashion era, while Corden donned a rat suit.

Reports say that the performance was shot as a segment for The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The Internet Was Not Amused By Their Performance

Video of the incident quickly made its way to Twitter, and the reaction was mainly negative.

Many people pointed out that creating more traffic on the already-swamped Los Angeles streets is a poor way to promote a movie.

"It's official: the Cinderella movie is gonna be a total s***show. I want to know who came up with an idea to block LA traffic for a f***ing flash mob, and slap them across the head. This is one of the dumbest ways to promote a movie I have ever seen in a hot minute," one user said.

Another told Cabello that her actions were selfish because less rich people have to get to work.

"It would have been great if you didn't block traffic to promote your movies. Some people aren't privileged and lucky enough to get fame and money and have to go to work to make ends meet," they said.

“Imagine being late to work because James Corden had to do hip thrusts at you in a rat costume,” one wrote.

Someone even tweeted that they were actually in the line of cars that the dance sequence happened in front of, and that he was annoyed that they were holding up his meal.

"Specifically came to LA to get away from James Corden and now he's dancing in a rat costume in front of my car I just want my breakfast burrito," they complained.
