More often than not, many wealthy individuals around the world, particularly those who are famous, are often criticized for being greedy or slammed for the ways in which they choose to spend their money. However, one celebrity who is known for her generosity is the one and only Lady Gaga herself.

Since her rise to fame in 2008, Lady Gaga has become one of the most famous names in the world of pop. However, her admirably loyal following isn't just thanks to her great music, the star has also been very open with her fans about her past struggles, which many have been able to identify with on a personal level. Consequently, this has allowed Gaga to form a much closer and intimate bond with her Little Monsters.

In addition to her close bond with her fans, Gaga is also well known for being a strong advocate for mental health, having again openly discussed her own struggles from her past. Ultimately, much of this has led the star to become more and more involved in helping those struggling as much as possible.

What Is Lady Gaga's Net Worth?

Considering her largely successful career, Gaga has accumulated a large net worth which is estimated to sit at $320 million US dollars. Much of this has been earned from her highly successful worldwide tours, brand deals, music sales, and her own business ventures, such as Haus Labs, her signature beauty brand, which she recently revamped.

Despite her tours grossing such large amounts of revenue, it may actually come as a surprise to some that Gaga actually almost went bankrupt a few times due to the amount she was spending on her shows. She spent so much trying to produce the best show for her fans, that the star didn't actually realize she was losing money. However, this is yet another display where the Born This Way singer was thinking of her fans first before herself.

How Does Lady Gaga Spend Her Money?

Despite nearly going bankrupt a few times, Gaga still has plenty of spare cash to spare. But what exactly does she enjoy spending it on?

Her most expensive purchase is most definitely her Malibu, which the star bought in 2014 for a price of $23 million dollars. The mega-mansion has its own bowling alley, a basketball court, horse stables, a guest cottage, and an incredible view of the Pacific. She also spent $60,000 on 27 Koi fish imported from Japan for the mansion. When speaking about her home, the star has described it as her 'sanctuary, my oasis of peace'.

In addition to spending numerous amounts on various outfits, Gaga has also reportedly given plenty of money to her father to let him enjoy. She is also a big fan of antique cars, and reportedly owns a collection worth an estimated $1.8 million dollars, according to SCMP.com.

However, despite having such a large net worth, the singer has previously stated that she is just not that interested in material items. Much of her money seems to be spent on her family and things that she enjoys, rather than flashier items, therefore we can consider Gaga to be quite humble.

How Involved Is Lady Gaga With Charity Work?

Since her rise to fame, Lady Gaga has pursued many charitable pathways in order to help promote a kinder and safer world. She is already notoriously known for her dedicated support for both the gay and LGBT communities, which is another reason why she has built such a loyal and dedicated fan base.

In 2012, Gaga launched The Born This Way Foundation, a non-profit organization that she founded alongside her mother, with an aim to help support people with their mental health, and work with them to 'build a kinder and braver world'. More recently in 2021, The Born This Way Foundation announced they would be donating $250,000 to support and address the mental health needs of students across the United States.

The launch of Gaga's new foundation came just a year after her highly successful Born This Way album was released, which has since amassed tremendous praise from fans, with many gushing how it helped to change and positively impact their lives. However, her charitable work doesn't just stop there.

In 2020 Gaga went on to raise $127.9 million dollars in a collaboration with WHO and Global Citizen through a global broadcasting event, which saw many stars and celebrities get involved from around the world. Just ten years earlier, she also raised $500,000 for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake through the proceeds of her Monster Ball Tour during the month of January.

In addition, the Born This Way singer has also partnered with MAC AIDS Fund's VIVA Glam campaign to help to raise money for charity. In this case, Gaga's collaboration with the beauty brand helped to raise $160 million dollars to help support the global fight against HIV/AIDS. Alongside her charitable donations, the star has also shown her support for American pop star Britney Spears shortly after her conservatorship ended, taking to her Twitter to share a few kind words.
