Stefani Germanotta, better known by her stage name - Lady Gaga - has made an incredible name for herself since her 2008 debut album. Featured in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and 11 time Grammy winner, she is one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Famous for her phenomenal voice and her eccentric fashion choices, she has repeatedly topped the charts with smash hits like "Born This Way", "Bad Romance", and "Rain On Me", but her singing voice isn't the only thing in her repertoire of talents.

Though her acting career has been sporadic, Lady Gaga gained attention for her work in American Horror Story and even won her first Golden Globe for her role as The Countess in AHS: Hotel. Still relatively new to the profession, even her "major" roles are often fairly small, but fans hope to see a lot more of Lady Gaga's acting chops in the future.

6 Herself (The Simpsons) - 3.9

"Lisa Goes Gaga" is the season finale episode of the 23rd season of The Simpsons, and first aired in 2012. The pop artist plays herself in this sweet episode about learning to love yourself, just the way that you are.

Feeling lonely and insecure, Lisa Simpson takes to writing nice things about herself under anonymous accounts online, so that people at school will like her. When her secret gets out, she becomes even less popular than ever and sinks into depression. While on tour, Lady Gaga notices that the city of Springfield is lacking cheer and attempts to spread positivity and confidence, starting with a certain lonely, little girl named Lisa.

5 La Camaleón (Machete Kills) - 5.6

Once again at the helm of a Machete film, the character is brought to life for the third time by Robert Rodriguez and Troublemaker Studios (the first being Spy Kids, followed by Machete, and Machete Kills). In this action-packed sequel, Machete is recruited by the President of the United States to take down an arms dealer hoping to spark a world war.

El Camaleón is a supporting antagonist who specializes as both an assassin and a master of disguise. Portrayed by four different actors, Lady Gaga plays the only female version "La Camaleón". Though she is only in a small portion of the film, the role is much larger than Lady Gaga's minimal screen time.

4 Bertha (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) - 6.5

Lady Gaga shares the big screen with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Frank Miller's Sin City sequel Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Another small but memorable role, she plays Bertha, a diner waitress, who shows a little kindness to a professional gambler named Johnny. "Ya don't stink of anything I don't like, and you kinda remind me of an old boyfriend." Broke and beaten, she gives him a glass of water and then offers him a dollar from her own tips.

She's only featured in a minute or two of the film, but she manages to make an impression, skillfully creating an entire character with her body language and accent choice. Lady Gaga provides the perfect amount of dramatic flair that fits in well in this neo-noir thriller.

3 Scáthach (American Horror Story: Roanoke) -  7.7

American Horror Story's sixth season premiered on FX in 2016 and revolves around the horrific, ghostly happenings at an 18th-century home in North Carolina. While the first half of the season is shot documentary style, with reenactment actors and interviews, the second half is where the real action takes place, as it brings the actors and the real-life subjects of the documentary together to revisit the haunted property.

Scáthach is the original Supreme, far before the witches of Salem. Though there is something intimidating and animalistic about the immortal witch, she is also mischievous and deeply seductive. She has wild, unkempt hair, she is covered in dirt, and dresses in tattered clothing. Ryan Murphy has hinted that he would like to revisit Scáthach in another season, but thus far, there have only been potential references to her character.

2 Ally (A Star Is Born) - 7.7

Lady Gaga's most recognizable, mainstream, movie role is her emotionally devastating performance as Ally Maine in A Star Is Born. Starring alongside Bradley Cooper, the chemistry sizzles, and the emotions feel real in a tale of two dreamers who fall in love.

Ally works as a waitress and part-time performer at a drag bar. Sweet and hard-working, she aspires to be a singer, but lacks the confidence in her talent and her looks, until rockstar Jackson Maine discovers her while searching for a place to get a drink. A heartfelt and painfully real story, this film may be a tragedy, but it explores every feeling in between before it gets to the end. Nominated for 8 Oscars in 2018, Lady Gaga received her first for the song "Shallow".

1 The Countess (American Horror Story: Hotel) - 7.9

Lady Gaga made her American Horror Story debut in AHS: Hotel, as the regal but deadly vampiress, Elizabeth, also known as The Countess. Along with many other creatures of the night, The Countess lives at the ever-mysterious Hotel Cortez.

Previously a 1920's aspiring actress, Elizabeth gets involved in a torrid affair with both Rudolph Valentino and his lover and ends up afflicted with a "disease" that leaves her with an insatiable taste for blood. Born in 1904, The Countess is 112 years old by the time that the series takes place. Elegant but not to be trifled with, though she is not wildly cruel, she ultimately accepts her nature and does not fight against it.

Lady Gaga is a vision as The Countess from beginning to end, fully embodying the enigmatic vampire. Fans can only hope for the character's return in another season.
