Lauren Conrad revolutionized reality television as we know it. The star first came to prominence back on the hit MTV series, Laguna Beach, before scoring her very own show, The Hills. Conrad appeared alongside Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, and Heidi Montag, with whom she had one of the biggest on-screen feuds in reality television history!

While Lauren Conrad has been up to a lot since leaving the series, her time on The Hills defined an entire generation, mainly when it came to her iconic lines. Although LC didn't love the drama, hence her departure midway through season 5, Conrad dropped a number of memorable lines that all of us should live by!

10 Bye, Bye Heidi!

When it came to Lauren Conrad's experience on the show, things turned sour really quick when she and bestie, Heidi Montag found themselves in one of the biggest reality TV feuds, ever!

Considering the awful things Spencer Pratt had said and done towards LC, it was no surprise that she was ready to end her friendship with Heidi for good. During the intense sit-down conversation, Lauren uttered the line "I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you," and fans will certainly never forget that moment.

9 Keep The Friend Group Small

Lauren Conrad began to navigate life sans Heidi Montag come the third season of The Hills, however, it was no easy feat. While she picked herself up and found solace with a new group of friends, Lauren was doing just fine.

During a night out with Laguna Beach turn The Hills alumn, Lo Bosworth, Lauren spoke some wisdom when it came to her smaller friend group. "I would rather have a few good friends than a lot of fake ones," Lauren told Lo, and we couldn't agree more!

8 Combat Boots Where?

Lauren wasn't the only one who underwent a lot of drama during their time on the original series. Audrina Patridge found herself on quite the rollercoaster ride of emotions with her time dating Justin Bobby. When JB ditched Audrina at a beach party in Malibu, Patridge was over it for good, or so we thought.

Luckily for Audrina, she had LC by her side to give yet another iconic line of comfort. "Homeboy wore combat boots to the beach! I know you don't want to call that your boyfriend," Conrad told Audrina before sharing a much-needed hug.

7 Trust Your Friends

While things between Audrina and Lauren were going great, things took a turn when Audrina heard a rumor that LC had hooked up with Justin Bobby. Although it's become evident that no such thing happened, Lauren was quite hurt by Audrina's accusations.

During their final sit-down, where Audrina apologizes to LC, Lauren makes it clear that she only wants the best for Audrina. "You gotta believe that there are people that just really want the best for you," Lauren said, and boy was she right!

6 Flowers Or Chocolates?

Lauren Conrad didn't evade boy trouble during her time on the series, in fact, she had a lot of boy trouble! While her tiff with former fling, Doug lasted a quick minute, LC was constantly juggling either Jason or Jenner.

During her wild romance with Jason, Lauren had flowers delivered to the Teen Vogue closet, where she later dropped some wise words with colleague and fellow co-star, Whitney Port. "My dad always told me ‘flowers mean I’m sorry, chocolates mean I love you," Lauren shared, and we've definitely taken notes since!

5 LC Wasn't A Fan Of Spencer

When Heidi began dating Spencer, LC knew right away that things were going to take a major turn! When Spencer got up to his playboy ways, Lauren warned Heidi, however, it didn't seem to be enough.

After a series of letdowns, LC let Heidi know how she really felt! "He's a sucky person!" she told Montag, and rightfully so! Despite Lauren doing her best to show Heidi all of his red flags, she had absolutely no success.

4 No Tears Left To Cry

As if Lauren Conrad couldn't have been a better friend to Heidi, the star even dropped some major words of wisdom when it came to Montag's first heartbreak over Spencer.

As Heidi laid on their sofa in tears, Lauren told her that crying over him was pointless, and she was right. "Don't cry over someone who wouldn't cry over you," she shared, a point that many of us have utilized in our everyday lives.

3 Playing Mind Games

While Heidi was off in her relationship with Spencer, Lauren was about to rekindle a past flame of her own. During lunch with Audrina Patridge, Lauren received a message from her ex, Jason, and of course, it couldn't have been at the worst time.

LC had just gotten over him and finally found peace within her personal life, however, it seems as if exes know when they're on the brink of being forgotten. "As soon as you stop thinking about them, they'll send you a text message or they'll call you because they know you just stopped thinking about them. It's like a radar."

2 Life Isn't Always Fair

While Lauren and Heidi's feud lasted for years, the duo did find themselves arriving at a peaceful conclusion towards the end of season 4. During a run-in between Heids and LC at an SLS event in Los Angeles, the duo took a stroll down memory lane, leading Heidi to reveal that the only thing missing in her life, was Lauren.

Well, LC couldn't do much considering Montag was now married to Spencer Pratt. As her eyes looked up, meeting Heidi's gaze, LC dropped yet another iconic line: "It just is what it is. It isn't always fair" and that's really the name of the game, isn't it?

1 A Tearful Goodbye

If there was one consistent and stable relationship that Lauren Conrad shared during her time on The Hills, it was with fellow Teen Vogue and People's Rev co-worker, Whitney Port. While Whitney remained a supporting character to Conrad, she was a fan fav, and rightfully so.

After scoring her own spin-off, The City, requiring her to move over to New York, Whitney and Lauren had one final goodbye lunch where LC expressed her love and gratitude for Whit. "I kind of went into it looking at it as a job, but I didn't expect to get a friend," Lauren told Whitney, and truer words have never been spoken.
