Law & Order: SVU stars Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay decided to have a little fun with fans, and show some PDA on the set.

A fan posted a picture of the two actors on Twitter sharing a kiss on set, and said it would be the “end of the internet” if they were to reenact the love scene.

Well, it looks like Meloni heard the request from fans loud and clear. The actor posted a flirty selfie on the platform on Saturday of himself and his co-star sharing an almost-kiss on set.

“JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THE INTERNET COULDN’T BREAK ANYMORE,” one fan tweeted. Another user commented, “I WASN’T READY,” with a picture of Hargitay’s character from the show and a plethora of pink heart emojis.

Meloni and Hargitay first started working together on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The crime drama first premiered in 1999, and has a total of 23 seasons. The beloved series is the only live-action primetime show from the ’90s that’s still producing new episodes, and it is currently the longest-running primetime live-action series in the history of US television.

In 2011, Meloni departed from the show due to a contract dispute that arose when he reportedly requested an increase in salary. He described the fallout with NBC as "inelegant."

"At the end of the day, how it was handled was, 'Okay, see you later.' So I went, 'That's fine. We're all big boys and girls here. See you later.' And I was off on new adventures and doing what I wanted to do,” he told People at the time. "Telling the stories I wanted to tell. I couldn't have been happier. But she [Mariska] and I, we stayed connected."

Even now, Hargitay still says she was “devastated” to learn what happened with her fellow co-star and the show’s network.

"I was just so sad because we started this thing and built it together," she told the same publication. "And we went through so many milestones and spent so much time together and understood so many things that nobody else could understand."

Since Meloni left the show, the two Hollywood actors have maintained a strong friendship and remain very active in each other's lives.

The Law & Order: SVU alums have reprised their roles in the new spinoff series Law & Order: Organized Crime, in which Meloni returns as Detective Elliot Stabler and Hargitay portrays Captain Olivia Benson in a few episodes.

The spin-off series was recently renewed for a second season, and returns to NBC on September 23.
