Leah Remini has come a long way since her days on 'Saved By the Bell.' She enjoyed a long run as Carrie on 'King of Queens,' left the Scientology church plus released a book and TV show on the topic, and says that today, her best friend is Jennifer Lopez.

So it's not surprising that Leah Remini owns an $8.5 million dollar home in Los Angeles, California.

First things first: as Velvet Ropes explains, Leah's home didn't cost $8.5 million. It's worth that today, but when she purchased the mansion in 2003, it was only $3.75 million.

Velvet Ropes calls Leah's neighborhood "low-key and rustic," though it is still part of the luxury home division of Studio City. And the inside of Remini's home is likely as posh as the neighborhood; the publication recalled that a few years ago, Leah helped her friend Cheryl Burke redecorate her million-dollar home.

With her sense of style and a penchant for interior decorating, Leah's home was a good fit for MTV's 'MTV Cribs' in 2007 (footage is still available on Facebook). Her home was bright, full of light, and very spacious, but that's exactly what fans would expect from an up-and-coming actress who had just made it big.

The kitchen was cavernous, with a huge stainless steel fridge, and Leah even had fresh cakes on the counter for her 'MTV Cribs' episode. But that's not all fans have learned about Leah's home.

She also has a big backyard complete with landscaped grass, trees, and a patio, and seems to enjoy setting up outdoor movies to enjoy with her family.

Fans also got a glimpse of Leah's home when she shared all the flowers she received following her Emmy nomination. It appears she also records her podcast at home; the paneled walls and bright white paint scheme suggest her entire house is full of clean lines and little clutter.

The home honestly looks like a great place for Leah and her husband and daughter to escape from the paparazzi and publicity.

Though fans wonder whether she used to be friends with Tom Cruise, pre-Scientology break, the truth is likely that Leah avoids plenty of former celebrity friends these days. She's separated herself from the church but also earned the ire of its current followers, thanks to her tell-all book and show.

The good news is that Leah and her hubby are still going strong, and her career hasn't suffered one iota due to her truth-telling.
