Being paid the big bucks is the name of the game for the biggest stars in Hollywood, and the lucky few that are starring in movies are all able to get their hands on sizable paychecks. Just take a look at the salaries made by huge names and prepare to have your jaw hit the floor.

This year, Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio will be starring together in Don't Look Up, which features a legitimately star-studded cast. The duo have been stars for years, and Netflix is going to pay them a shocking salary.

Let's take a closer look at Don't Look Up and how much DiCaprio and Lawrence will make from the film.

DiCaprio And Lawrence Are Major Stars

When looking at the landscape of major Hollywood movie stars, there aren't too many people that are in the same league as both Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. They have both been thriving on the big screen for years, and they have each taken home the most prestigious awards in Hollywood.

Having been a film star since the 90s, there is virtually nothing left for Leonardo DiCaprio to accomplish. His biggest hits include Titanic, Catch Me If You Can, The Departed, Inception, The Revenant, and more. Believe us when we say that this is just the tip of the iceberg for DiCaprio's biggest hits.

Lawrence hasn't been a star nearly as long, but this does not mean that she has been any less impressive. Lawrence has been featured in the Hunger Games franchise, the X-Men franchise, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and plenty more. She was even a featured performer on The Bill Engvall Show early on in her career.

In 2021, these two Hollywood titans will be coming together for one of the biggest films of the entire year.

They Will Star In 'Don't Look Up' Together

Pairing up massive stars can be an effective strategy in Hollywood, and Netflix is bringing DiCaprio and Lawrence together for Don't Look Up. These two names are impressive enough, but a closer look at the cast will reveal a ridiculous amount of talent that will be bringing Adam McKay's script to life.

Some of the biggest names involved with Don't Look Up include Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Timothee Chalamet, and even Tyler Perry. Still not impressed? Names like Ron Perlman and even Ariana Grande will be making appearances in the film. This is easily one of the most stacked casts in recent memory, and it is partly why there is a lot of hype around this film.

The concept of the film is an interesting one, and McKay has an exceptional track record of making funny flicks. The fact that this movie is a black comedy with a science fiction element makes it all the more interesting, and we can only imagine how many people will be tuning in to watch this movie as soon as it is released.

Of course, having this many stars in a single movie will cause the budget to balloon up, and DiCaprio and Lawrence's combined salary has certainly reached the stratosphere.

They Will Make A Combined $55 Million

So, just how much will Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio be making for Don't Look Up. According to reports, the duo will be combining to make $55 million, which is an insane number to pay a few actors before production costs are even factored in.

Per IndieWire, "The two Oscar-winning actors are leading Adam McKay’s Netflix comedy Don’t Look Up in what is easily the biggest star pairing of the year. While $20 million paydays are the norm for both actors, DiCaprio received a reported $30 million salary and Lawrence a reported $25 million salary for Don’t Look Up."

As we stated already, these two stars are accustomed to getting paid a top-tier salary, and it is interesting to see that Netflix is shelling out the big bucks for both of them. We have seen major stars take a reduction in salary to help the production budget of a film, but clearly, Netflix believes that they are going to make some serious money for Don't Look Up once it officially releases.
