Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio have all the fans talking, as the new dynamic duo is set to appear in the Netflix film, 'Don't Look Up'. The cast is filled with stars and in addition, DiCaprio and Lawrence are each taking home a sizeable amount for their roles in the film.
We all know about Lawrence and her chemistry with other co-stars in the past, which includes the likes of Chris Pratt. This time around, fans are wondering how Lawrence and DiCaprio got along while filming the new movie.

Adam McKay has quite the cast lined up for 'Don't Look Up'. However, getting a certain star on board for the project wasn't exactly easy. Given his familiarity with Jennifer Lawrence, getting her onto the project was a lot easier than DiCaprio. In fact, according to McKay's words with Indie Wire, Leo mulled over the offer for five months.
“I think he’s amazing and I love his work, but I just thought there’s no way he’s going to do this because if I could only work with Martin Scorsese, I would only work with Martin Scorsese,” McKay quipped. “I would be Martin Scorsese’s assistant on set. So why would he do this with me? But as it turns out he really loved the script. We went back and forth on it.''
"It was about a four-to-five-month process with us just kicking around ideas. We took a break for the quarantine, and lo and behold once we figured out a theoretically safe way to shoot this movie, he was in. I couldn’t believe it. It’s no surprise he’s fabulous in the movie.”
Getting the two alongside one another was a major deal, however, some fans weren't too happy with the difference in pay. Lawrence was quick to diffuse the situation.
Jennifer Lawrence Has Major Respect For DiCaprio Despite The Pay Difference
Some fans took exception to the fact that DiCaprio is out-earning his co-star by $5 million in the film, despite the fact that Lawrence is the lead.
Given her respect for Leo, Lawrence was quick to diffuse the situation, praising her co-star.
"Look, Leo brings in more box office than I do. I'm extremely fortunate and happy with my deal," she said. "But in other situations, what I have seen — and I'm sure other women in the workforce have seen as well — is that it's extremely uncomfortable to inquire about equal pay. And if you do question something that appears unequal, you're told it's not gender disparity but they can't tell you what exactly it is."
It seems like the respect is a mutual one, as DiCaprio agreed to have Jen's name roll out first during the credits, before his own, which is usually not the case in any film DiCaprio takes part in.
Ultimately, it just goes to show the mutual respect these two have for one another.
Lawrence Admitted DiCaprio Takes Climate Control Very Seriously
A huge reason as to why DiCaprio accepted the project is due to the fact that it touched on climate control, something he's been stressing in public for a very long time.
During a Q&A session, Leo was asked about the future of climate control and if his outlook changed to an optimistic one following the film. Unfortunately, he did not change his mind and according to Lawrence, Leo is very negative when it comes to the topic.
“You asked the wrong person, Leo is such a bummer with this stuff,” as DiCaprio admitted he’s “a Debbie Downer when it comes to this issue. I could go off for an hour.''
The film is set to be released on Netflix, December 10th. Given the star-studded cast, which features the likes of Ariana Grande, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Chris Evans, Timothee Chalamet, Kid Cudi, Tyler Perry, Matthew Perry, and oh so many more, the film should without a doubt break records on the streaming platform.
