When Lisa Vanderpump is around, it's hard to notice anyone else. The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills is larger than life and most often clad in bright pink and purple hues, which, combined with her biting wit and social savvy, make her a force to be reckoned with. But fans of Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules know that there's someone often trailing behind her who isn't so outspoken and flashy, whose naturally reserved demeanor stands in stark contrast to Lisa's bolder personality.

Lisa Vanderpump's husband Ken Todd is her partner not only in marriage but in business too; the couple have a combined $200 million net worth from their various business ventures, and their respective geniuses are equally matched. So is their adoration for one another, and fans delight in their affectionate partnership. We're shining a spotlight on Lisa's better half - here are 10 things you didn't know about Lisa Vanderpump's husband Ken.

10 He's A Self Made Man

All of that $200 million net worth is well earned; Ken came from humble beginnings, having grown up in Butterknowle, England in a family without much money. He worked many jobs as a young man, hustling around the clock and working night jobs where he had to before finally finding success in the business sphere. He and Lisa have now owned 36 restaurants, bars and clubs between Los Angeles and London.

9 He Was A Playboy Before Lisa

Lisa playfully jabs Ken for being slick with the ladies while he worked in clubs before they were married. At 36, he was 16 years older than Lisa and she claims he was living pretty fast. Lisa explains that the only reason he even got into the restaurant business was because he saw it as another opportunity to meet girls.

8 They Met Through Her Brother

Fans of Vanderpump Rules certainly remember Lisa's brother; she opens up in Season 7 about his suicide a few months prior and the love she had for him is totally apparent. She revealed it was Mark Vanderpump who introduced her to Ken, so she undoubtedly counts that among the many gifts her brother gave her during life.

7 He Has A Son From His First Marriage

Ken and Lisa's children Pandora and Max play peripheral roles on the show, and we see them often enough, but Ken actually has a son from a previous marriage as well. He was married to model Pamela Todd, with whom he had a son, Warren, in 1966. Lisa met Warren and became his stepmother when he was 15 and she was 21 - awkward!

6 He Locked Lisa Down Quickly

The two have spoken several times on Vanderpump Rules about their courtship, which was apparently whirlwind and extremely accelerated. Ken and Lisa had known each other just three months when they got married, which was on brand for each of them, Lisa explains, as they were both always spontaneous and carefree, "flying by the seat of [their] pants."

5 They Moved To LA In The '90s

Ken Todd and Lisa Vanderpump built businesses in London for many years before they made the move to the States. They had four successful restaurants in London and were also in the property business when they decided to travel around the world on open-ended plane tickets. They were already in with some pretty famous names, which helped facilitate their landing in Los Angeles: Johnny Depp was a good friend, and they had just sold one of their properties to Mark Knopfler, the Dire Straights frontman.

4 Ken And Lisa Went On Tour With The Rolling Stones

Yes, you read that right. Ken Todd was best friends with the original Rolling Stones bassist, Bill Wyman - Ken was even the best man in Bill's wedding. So when the opportunity came up to follow the band on tour in 1988, Lisa and Ken jumped on board. They remember the Steel Wheels tour fondly as a wild and crazy time in their past.

3 He Gets In On The Drama

Though he only plays a supporting role on Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules, his moments do pack a punch. When unruly DJ James Kennedy came to SUR drunk and caused a scene, Ken hissed, "The way you're speaking to Lisa? I'm giving you one warning, if you ruin my business... I'll knock you spark out." Okay, Ken, we see you!

2 He Loves Animals Just As Much As Lisa

If you couldn't tell from the way he lovingly toted their adorably miniature dog Giggy around wearing little outfits, Ken loves animals just like his wife. Vanderpump Dogs is a robust endeavor, with adoption services to animal rights advocacy, rehabilitation and a rescue league. It is the business that is the closest to their hearts because of their shared love for animals.

1 He Is James Kennedy's Manager

Everyone's favorite trainwreck villain James Kennedy was an aspiring DJ when we first met him on Vanderpump Rules, but now he's an in-demand TV personality too (which is probably the last thing his ego needs). Ken Todd serves as his music manager and felt compelled to take him on because of his friendship with James' dad, who is close with George Michael.
