He's speaking out about the double standard after social media slammed his Satan Shoes, which contained a drop of human blood, yet somehow Tony Hawk's release of skateboards that contained blood was well received.

Lil Nas X, an openly gay Black man, wants the public to explain why he was dragged on social media for these blood-dropped shoes, when Tony Hawk, a straight white man, could inject his own blood into skateboard paint and receive little to no pushback.

There is fundamentally no difference between the two bloody products that were sold.

Lil Nas X wants fans to pause there, and let that sink in.

Lil Nas X Shines A Light On Discrimination

When Lil Nas X released his Satan Shoes, they sold out almost immediately. The shoes contained a droplet of human blood, which added to the intrigue, and the marketing campaign proved to be a wildly successful one.

However, this did not come without some seriously bad press.

Lil Nas X was dragged on social media and slammed for his use of human blood in this product. The name-calling was too vicious to repeat, and many people were up in arms over the controversial bloody feature that lent the unique element to these shoes.

He definitely felt the heat, as the backlash came at him from every angle, and many critics rose to the surface to attack the use of blood and the satanic references. Haters definitely hated loudly.

Yet, when Tony Hawk posted a video of a blood vial being extracted from his arm and mixed into his skateboard paint, fans seemed thrilled with the concept and there was no media frenzy to suggest anyone was put off in any way.

Lil Nas X Calls Out The Facts

Lil Nas X is not going to idly stand by as this double standard continues to unfold. He has blown up the topic on social media by posting a subtle jab at the real, underlying issue that, to date, has remained unspoken.

After seeing Tony Hawk position a blood-based product, and realizing he remained unscathed from backlash and trash talk, Lil Nas X has pinpointed the real issue that was troubling his critics, and he's calling them out.

By suggesting that his haters were "mad for some other reason," Lil Nas X is drawing attention to the fact that he was singled out due to his sexual orientation and based on the color of his skin.

The position he has taken has really put fans on notice and is forcing them to take a hard look at their stance.

If a straight white man can release a blood-infused skateboard that' well received, the question remains.... why was it such a big deal with the gay Black man released the blood-drop sneakers?
