Charlie Sheen And Lindsay Lohan Had A Positive Experience On The Set Of Scary Movie 5

Malcolm D. Lee's Scary Movie 5 got its release in April of 2013. With Ashley Tisdale in the lead, the film was able to make $78 million at the box office, off a $20 million budget. Of course, like most Scary Movie films in recent years, the reviews weren't the kindest.

Nonetheless, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan were a big reason for the inflated box office numbers. Not only did the two appear in the film but according to Ashley Tisdale and Simon Rex, the two were very positive on set.

"I don’t live life thinking, ‘I wonder if this is going to hit the news,’ I just live life. I think its really awesome that they got to make fun of themselves," Tisdale said with Cinemovie TV.

Simon Rex added, "It’s brave of them. Charlie’s done it. I was proud of Lindsay for that. We’ve actually known her for a long time. We were both looking forward for her doing it. In her defense, there were only a couple of things she had taken out. She’s like, ‘I’m not comfortable saying this,’ but for the most part she trooped in and really laughed and made jokes of herself."

As for the details prior to shooting their scene together, things were made a little more complicated.

Lindsay Lohan And Charlie Sheen Signed A Contract Prior To Their Scene, And Lohan Demanded A Certain Moment From Their Scene Be Removed

According to Daily Mail, Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen were supposed to kiss three times during their scene together in Scary Movie 5. Lohan wasn't into this idea at all, and asked for the moment to be removed completely.

In addition, both celebs had to sign a contract prior to the scene.

The contract writes, "It is unknown what Lindsay's specific objections were, but both she and Charlie had had to sign release forms confirming they did not have cold sores, according to website TMZ."

Ultimately, the changes Lohan requested were made at the last second while shooting. Some part were removed entirely, while body-doubles were used for other moments in their scene together.

It appears as though Charlie Sheen didn't feel bad about the conditions and changes, so much so, that he forked over half his salary to the star, who was facing tax troubles at the time.

That's right, Charlie Sheen forked over quite the chunk of change to Lohan, in an effort to help her through ongoing tax struggles. Sheen admitted to having a soft spot for Lohan and her situation, which was relatable to his own life.

"I gave her half of my salary on Scary Movie 5. I knew the scene would be much more epic if she took part in it. I can only applaud her because I saw it in person. I have nothing but love for her."

The mood soured a little bit after the moment, when it was revealed that Sheen never received a thank you from his co-star. Lohan would finally send over flowers, thanking Sheen and stating that it took so long given that her phone was broken at the time.

The connection between the two continued, when Lohan appeared on Sheen's Anger Management series.
