Lizzo let her TikTok followers in on a little industry secret. When we see her posing on red carpets in the next rend setting outfit, we don't get to see every variable playing into the scene.

Luxurious events like the Grammys may seem like the easiest job in the world, but the Truth Hurts artist admitted that it's not always smooth sailing.

Red Carpet Craziness

"So I'm just reflecting and I want to address something," the singer shared, "Just to help you guys understand me a little bit more, and understand a lot of things."

"If you've never been on a red carpet and you've never been on a step and repeat, the paparazzi and photographers can be extremely intense."

Remember the days of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton when movie premiere cameras caught the loud array of voices snapping flashing lights at any given moment? That energy still exists, even with COVID restrictive safety.

Lizzo opened up and talked to her TikTok app as if it were a younger sibling to whom she offered advice,

"It can be extremely overwhelming. It's a lot of flashing lights, a lot of men going 'Hey hey hey! Do this!' I mean we're in a pandemic, so this was a limited paparazzi line."

Even that limited amount of people seemed to leave the outgoing artist in disarray. She sounded exhausted even retelling what it felt like to stand in a fierce lilac dress and be subjected to ogling eyes.

Dealing With The Paparazzi

"I've had people do really f*cked up sh*t to me," she went on without explicitly explaining what's been yelled at her, "So I choose to liven up red carpets. I choose to joke with the photographers and paparazzi."

Lizzo gives them "sh*t" and they dish it right back. Interacting with photographers and matching their energy sounds like a reasonable coping mechanism. She said that while there is a fun banter present, no feelings are hurt in the process.

Lizzo gives off the same amount of support for her fans and friends as she does confidence in herself. Alpha women bring others up to their level, and we would never think her intentions on red carpets would be anything less.
