Despite his relatively recent entrance into the entertainment industry, Timothée Chalamet has garnered quite the following. Even his Instagram has 9.5 million fans, and his boyish charms are one reason so many followers are obsessed with him.

Today, Timothée Chalamet is a household name. But it wasn't always that way. Before fame, the young actor lived a life outside the spotlight. He enjoyed a vibrant childhood and plenty of opportunities to find himself. He also honed his acting skills and learned a bit about anthropology in school.

Which is a good thing, because he's been making waves ever since entering the spotlight. Timothée has earned attention in a few ways: by dating Madonna's daughter Lourdes, gracing the stage in an autobiographical play, portraying King Henry V, earning an Oscar nomination (one of the youngest ever to have the honor), and wooing Lily-Rose Depp.

That last one may have made headlines, but Harper's Bazaar also reported in April 2020 that the couple had split up... Though fans are disappointed, odds are low that anyone will miss seeing the two enjoy very public displays of affection on a boat, or anywhere else.

But it's the actor's range that really impresses viewers. Which means it's not surprising that fans totally ship Timothée as Frodo Baggins in any rewrite of 'Lord of the Rings.'

Honestly, ScreenRant  sums it up best when it comes to the actor's aesthetic, saying that Chalamet's "characteristic introverted fragility" would make him an ideal Frodo. And with Amazon reinventing LOTR at some point in the near future, odds are, Elijah Wood is too busy to take on the role of Frodo again.

Recasting LOTR at this point would take some strategy since the original actors performed their roles so well. Still, the near-perfection of the original LOTR cast hasn't stopped fans from shipping the return of Gandalf via Morgan Freeman or any manner of other substitutions.

But could Chalamet really become Frodo Baggins? Take a look at his resume (and impressive IMDb credits) and decide for yourself.

Chalamet already speaks French and English (plus a bit of Italian thanks to his role in 'Call Me By Your Name,' so he could probably pick up a few Hobbit dialects with ease.

Then, in "Hot Summer Nights,' Timothée was a teen-turned-drug dealer, acted to perfection. He also played a soldier in 'Hostiles,' which is honestly the closest role he's probably had to a LOTR debut. Frodo's seen some stuff, after all.

Beyond his acting chops, Timothée is a fan favorite for his delicate looks, too. If that doesn't make for a perfect Frodo, the casting director is out of luck; no one else could come close to Elijah Wood's big-eyed portrayal of the Hobbit.
