Unfortunately, these days it is pretty much impossible to hear Lori Loughlin’s name without thinking about the reasons why she wound up serving prison time. Of course, what Loughlin did was very wrong but since this article is about her acting career, it makes sense to move past her criminal actions from this point on in the article.

Since Lori Loughlin has been a world-famous actor since the late-80s, it should go without saying that she has been part of a lot of projects over the years. Of course, every actor who has worked for that long is bound to star in a few stinkers. After all, even Meryl Streep has headlined some bad movies and she’s the queen. Sadly for Lori Loughlin, however, most of her fans agree that one of her films is much worse than the rest and that is because it is so incredibly bad that it is pretty much undeniable.

Lori’s Main Claim To Fame

Throughout television history, there have been loads of hit shows who’ve added new characters only to have them be thoroughly rejected by viewers. As a result, it wouldn’t have been too shocking if Full House fans were put off when Lori Loughlin joined the show’s main cast since she wasn’t there from the beginning. Sure, her character appeared during the first season but there is a big difference between guest starring and becoming such a big part of a series that you are featured in the opening credits.

Thankfully for Lori Loughlin and everyone involved with Full House, she was so great as the character who came to be known as Aunt Becky that she was fully embraced by the show’s fans. Incredibly likable on screen, Loughlin shared a lot of chemistry with her Full House co-stars. Of course, the fact that Loughlin quickly became close with all of her Full House co-stars played a big role in that.

Since Lori Loughlin was so popular among Full House fans, she remained a part of the show’s main cast. On top of that, Loughlin continued to be such a big part of the show’s legacy that she appeared in several episodes of Full House’s sequel series, Fuller House. With all of that in mind, is it any wonder that Full House remains Loughlin’s greatest claim to fame?

Lori’s TV Movies

When most people think about television programming, it is the series that comes to mind first and foremost. However, there are loads of TV movies that premiere each year. One of the main reasons why those films don’t get thought about much is that frankly, most of them aren’t very good.

During Lori Loughlin’s career, she has starred in lots of different TV movies. With that in mind, it would make sense if most of Loughlin’s fans believed that one of her TV movies is the worst film she has ever starred in. However, as it turns out, a lot of Loughlin’s TV movies are quite popular with her fans. In fact, Loughlin has starred in a series of TV movies called Garage Sale Mystery that are especially popular with Hallmark viewers. Of course, at this point, it should go without saying that there are millions of people who love Hallmark movies, especially during the holiday season.

Loughlin’s Worst Film

For several years now, users of the website Flickchart.com have been ranking movies against one another. Based on those results, the website populates lists of each user’s favorite and least favorite movies. More importantly for the purposes of this article, the website gathers the results of all its users to create lists of the best and worst movies of all time and you can filter them by actor. In the case of Lori Loughlin, the users of Flickchart.com have made it clear that Casper: A Spirited Beginning is the worst movie she has ever starred in.

Released in 1997, Casper: A Spirited Beginning is supposed to be a prequel to the much more popular 1995 live-action movie Casper. Unfortunately, there are several ways in which Casper: A Spirited Beginning breaks continuity with its predecessor. Of course, lots of prequels and sequels don’t work on a continuity level but Casper: A Spirited Beginning fails in just about every other way.

Cast as a teacher who tries to save Casper’s home when a developer played by Steve Guttenberg plans to tear it down, Loughlin does everything she can to overcome a paper-thin plot. Unfortunately, Casper: A Spirited Beginning is such an intolerable film that most viewers will find themselves yearning to punch a hole in their TV if they watch it for long. For proof of that, all you have to do is look at what Flickchart.com user Bosman wrote about the film. “I watched Casper: A Spirited Beginning with my little Brother, and I fall asleep 3-4 times, so boring and stupid was this crap.” Sadly for everyone involved in the making of Casper: A Spirited Beginning, Bosman’s take on the film is entirely spot on.
