Ever since her career started decades ago, Madonna has been known for making strong, unapologetic statements and breaking social norms. She's unarguably one of the most influential artists of all time, and even in her sixties, she's still as daring as she was in the beginnings.

Just days ago, she did an interview in a true Madonna style, where she answered very honest questions about anything and everything. Including her greatest regrets. Here's what she said.

Madonna Did A Blunt Interview

Right now, the Queen of Pop is completely focused on work. She's promoting her new remix compilation, Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones, and for that, she did an interview in which she did not hold back, called "Finally Enough Talk: 50 Questions With Madonna." She answered lots of questions regarding everything, from music to her personal life to her thoughts on different subjects. The question of interest here, though, was one about her regrets in life. They asked her, specifically, about a life decision that "wasn't the best idea." To that, she replied "Getting married. Both times!"

As most people reading this probably know, she was married twice. Once to actor Sean Penn, a controversial relationship filled with rumors of violence and toxicity, and once to Guy Ritchie, who is the father of her son Rocco. Shortly after her second marriage ended, she said that "I think I'd rather get run over by a train," than get married again. While Madonna has never been shy or self-conscious talking about her love life, this statement was quite bold, although maybe not surprising.

Madonna's Last Relationship

While she has not backed down from her decision of not getting married again, Madonna has been enjoying her dating life. Some of her choices in her love life have caused some controversy, since her partners tend to be much younger than her, but she really seems happy and to be having fun. Most recently, she split up with her boyfriend of three years, 28-year-old Ahlamalik Williams, and she was very casual about their breakup, saying that they simply grew apart during the lockdown.

All in all, she's content with how things are going, and while she knows that people tend to look down on women who date younger men (in a way they don't with men who date younger women), she has never cared about what people say, and she's not about to start now. "I've never really lived a conventional life, so I think it's quite foolish for me or anyone else to start thinking that I am going to start making conventional choices," she said a couple of years ago.

Right now, the Queen is promoting her latest album, so her love life might have to take the backseat for a while. Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones is out now, and it's a must-listen to any Madonna fan.
