It's an anxiety tornado. At least that’s true for the current cast members of Lifetime’s hit show Married At First Sightwho have spent the last month navigating an arranged marriage while a camera crew follows them about their daily life.

The situation has been so tense of some cast members that they called a “girls’ meeting” to deconstruct their struggles.

In the latest episode, Virginia sat down with Briana, Paige and Clara to discuss their varying experiences of mental health throughout filming. And to the surprise of some viewers, the convo gets real.

Virginia Knows She Has A Problem

Over the course of this season, Virginia has been one of the cast members to struggle the most as she adjusts to married life. Her partner, Erick, is not only much older than she is; he is also extremely controlling. To-date, Virginia’s husband has questioned many of her co-ed friendships and even accused her male friends of being interested in sleeping with her.

Virginia has also been filmed consuming well over the recommended dosage of alcohol for a person of her size, a fact which has repeatedly called the attention of fans.

To the surprise of some, however, Virginia is aware that this whole reality TV experience has been extremely taxing on her overall mental health. In a clip released to the official Married At First Sight Insta page, the 26-year-old Georgia girl admits to having high anxiety.

The video shows Virginia sitting down with her female co-stars. In the conversation, Virginia not only reveals her own anxiety, but she also finds validation from the surrounding women.

“It means a lot just to be able to have these real, open conversations about mental health with people,” Virginia told producers, “And especially with people who are going through a similar situation, so they get why my anxiety is so high.”

However, just because Virginia understands her anxiety, doesn’t mean that she and Erick have a strong enough relationship to work through it together. “I’m still scared that it will be an issue that we can’t work though.”
