The Married At First Sight couple are not the only ones experiencing some major turbulence within their marriage. Zack and Michaela are also having trouble of their own, and when it comes to lasting a few more weeks until decision day, fans aren't too sure if they'll be making it the long run either.
While getting married to a total stranger seems wild, the concept has successfully seen a few couples walk out remaining hubby and wife. Although viewers would love to see Jose and Rachel be one of them, it looks like Jose's controlling ways and Rachel's lack of communication will be the end of them.
Jose Locks Rachel Out After Explosive Fight
While the drama has been revolving mainly around Zack/Michaela and Myrla/Gil, it seems as if Jose and Rachel are now taking their turn at a possible downward spiral in their romance. Fans haven't been too sure about the couple since the very start, however, their relationship was looking up during the honeymoon!
Upon return to Houston, where the couples would be living with one another for six weeks before decision day, Jose and Rachel's marriage began to unravel, revealing major issues the two had with one another. Viewers were quick to point out Jose's controlling ways, especially when it comes to money, which was a major red flag for both fans and Rachel.
Well, during last night's episode, Jose and Rachel finally had it out with one another, and during their explosive argument, Rachel yelled out another man's name. Yikes! This obviously didn't go over well with Jose, who was visibly furious over the mistake. Despite Rachel apologizing many times, sincerely at that, it didn't seem to be enough. Rachel left their apartment, leaving Jose to lock the doors.
After leaving around the midnight mark, Rachel returned an hour later knocking on the doors and windows to be let in. When she realized Jose had locked her out, she began to seek help from the other couple's apartments. This was the straw the broke the camel's back, as Rachel made it clear she is no longer "in love" with Jose. Ouch!
Fans Think Jose Could Be Gay
When it comes to Jose's controlling ways, it appears as if he might be overcompensating for something. Many fans have been chiming regarding Jose's sexuality since the beginning of the season, sharing that they think he might be gay. Viewers pointed out that he gave off more "GBF" vibes than husband vibes, and might be acting more macho and controlling to overcompensate.
While this could easily be possible, as it wouldn't be the first time a closeted man appeared on a dating show (i.e. Colton Underwood on The Bachelor) Jose's choice to appear on the show and marry a woman leads us to believe that he just might not fall into the stereotypical version of a man that fans have been so used to.
Although rumors continue to swirl regarding Jose's sexuality, many viewers are also tired of the accusations. It's clear dissecting someone's identity isn't a cute look, and many fans aren't about the assumptions. While they stay clear of the rumors, the overall consensus remains that Jose is still very much annoying.
During his talk with Rachel, Jose blamed her for their lack of communication, which isn't what you'd want to tell someone who just confessed they are over their marriage. With only a couple of weeks left before decision day, it seems as if Rachel has already made up her mind, and this could easily be the last we see of her and Jose.
