Married At First Sight is finally heating up as the couples continue their journeys through their honeymoons. Although Zack and Michaela are experiencing some lows when it comes to their marriage, especially when it comes to Zack's Covid-19 situation, they aren't the only ones having issues!
As the couples discuss politics in tonight's episode, it seems as if Myrla and Gil are yet again, finding themselves disagreeing with one another. Are we even shocked at this point? No, the answer is no. Luckily, when it comes to this season's MAFS couples, Bao and Johnny have been proving that being married at first sight might just be alright, so much that they might actually stay married, or so we thought!
As fans continue to watch their romance evolve, it's become evident that Bao's insecurities are keeping her from moving forward emotionally with Johnny, leaving viewers to wonder if she is sabotaging their marriage.
Is Bao Sabotaging Her Marriage?
Bao and Johnny certainly hit it off when they got married at first sight, however, that wasn't the only time the two had met! While the other Married At First Sight couples met one another for the very first time at the altar, Bao and Johnny knew one another way back in the day.
The duo had met back in college, which they revealed to their fellow MAFS cast members, shocking just about everyone with their past friendship. Well, despite giving things a go a while back, their romance dwindled away as Johnny ghosted Bao, and now they're married!
While they remain one of the few couples this season who fans adore, it appears as if Bao might be sabotaging their marriage. Bao has brought up a multitude of her insecurities, including her snoring, that fans think she is using as a way to distance herself from Johnny, despite him opening up to her tremendously.
During tonight's episode, Bao worried that her snoring would deter Johnny from her, going as far as suggesting the two sleep in separate bedrooms. This isn't the first time she's tried to come up with a reason to not dive in headfirst into their marriage, and while she might be protecting herself, viewers think she's doing it on purpose, or isn't aware of it, at all!
"Girl you are self-sabotaging your marriage! That man is not stressing about your snoring...let it go!" one fan tweeted out, having many agree that her nit-picking when it comes to herself isn't doing her marriage to Johnny any justice. Luckily for Bao, Johnny isn't giving up on her just yet, in fact, he's the one diving in head first!
Johnny Confesses His Feelings
When it came time to say their "I do's" it appeared as if Johnny was definitely in it far more than Bao did. Johnny has been opening up much more to Bao than she has with Johnny, and he did it yet again in tonight's episode. When Bao described her issues with snoring, Johnny didn't waste a single moment before putting her anxieties to rest, something he has been great at doing!
On their honeymoon, Johnny expressed his love for Bao, revealing that he "really likes" her, leaving Bao with a big smile on her face! The moment was adored by fans, however, the feeling didn't seem to be mutual, as Bao didn't reciprocate the same sentiments.
Fans are rooting for the couple to stay married when the end of their time together on Married At First Sight comes, however, some aren't feeling it at all! "I'm not sure about Johnny and Bao either - mainly because of Bao," one fan wrote.
