After getting to know one another over their first few hours together as married couples, there are a few standout pairs, while there are, well...some not-so-standout pairs.
Viewers are clearly rooting for Michaela and Zack, all while expressing their support for Bao and Johnny, however, there are a few couples that aren't getting nearly as much love. During tonight's episode, the couples not only spend their first night together but finally get some one-on-one time with their new in-laws.
While it's clear Myrla and Gil are headed for disaster, it seems as if fans are dead set on Jose and Rachel not making it the long run either. So, what aren't viewers feelin' the seemingly happy couple? Let's dive in!
Will Jose & Rachel Make It?
Jose and Rachel got off to what appeared to be a pretty grand start. The couple were both looking for their forever partner, and upon first meeting, at the altar no less, it seemed as if they had both found just that.
As the duo said their "I do's" in a risky decision, Married At First Sight fans were certain Jose and Rachel be just fine as they navigated married life and cast through their honeymoon, however, that doesn't seem to be the case! Not only do fans think that Jose and Rachel are showing a few red flags when it comes to their compatibility, but they aren't getting the greatest vibe from Jose.
During tonight's episode, not only did Jose compare Rachel to his mom, which is the biggest no-no, especially after knowing someone for only 24 hours. While Rachel is, in fact, Jose's wife, there are some things that are better left unsaid. In addition to keeping things to ourselves, it seems as if Jose is crossing Rachel's boundaries.
Although Married At First Sight is always full of awkward and cringe-worthy moments, it seems as if Jose is giving all of those past events a run for their money! As the couple got ready together in the bathroom, Jose took it upon himself to ask Rachel if he could brush her teeth.
While we're certain he was just trying to make a joke, it didn't come off too funny, and Rachel would agree! "Umm, I wasn't expecting that. I feel a little freaking out, to be honest. I mean, I'm a grown adult. I don't need someone to brush my teeth. I really he was kidding!" Rache said.
Fans Thinks Jose Is Controlling
As if Jose's energy wasn't already off when it came to his and Rachel's alone time, fans are now calling him out for being way too controlling! Not only does he appear to be far more high maintenance than Rachel is, but his family also gave Rachel a few fair warnings regarding his temperaments and personality.
"Jose should’ve signed up for a Stepford wife," a fan wrote on Twitter. Although they are connecting somewhat well, fans felt as if Jose and Rachel were giving them bestie vibes over married vibes.
While Jose can easily be coming off too strong as a means to show affection, viewers aren't feeling him all that much, some even questioning whether or not he is even into Rachel. "Jose sounds like he is trying to convince himself to like Rachel at this point," one fan wrote on Twitter.
Although it might be a little too soon to tell whether or not Jose and Rachel will make it out of this together, however, if his odd antics stay around, we doubt Rachel will!
