The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become home to some of the biggest names in the industry! The MCU first began back in 2008 when the very first Iron Man film dropped, commencing what would go on to become one of the biggest film franchises in history!
Since it's starting over 12 years ago, fans have come to know so many of the faces who play our favorite characters. From Chris Hemsworth playing Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, all the way to Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, they all make up some of the most loved characters, but believe it or not, they also make up some of the tallest, too! So, who lands at the top of the list of talented MCU actors? Let's dive in!

From Chris Evans, Evangelina Lily, all the way to the man who started it all, Robert Downey Jr., the actors have given fans so much, however, they aren't the tallest! Tom Hiddleston starts things off with 6 feet 2 inches, however, it is actually Winston Duke who plays M'Baku who takes the cake as the tallest MCU actor with a height of 6 feet 5 inches.
10 Tom Hiddleston - 6 Feet 2 Inches
A dubious honor for Tom is being one of Taylor Swift’s richest exes, and there’s no doubt his height adds to his handsome looks. Loki usually seems smaller than Thor in appearance, but that’s down to Chris Hemsworth’s massive frame as Tom is pretty tall.
Standing a couple of inches above six feet, the actor has the perfect stature to be cast in either a leading or a supporting role. He’ll next be seen in the MCU TV series Loki, where he’ll most likely be the tallest actor among the cast.
9 Samuel L. Jackson - 6 Feet 2 Inches
A strange misconception is that Sam Jackson is one of those celebrities who doesn’t have an Instagram account. That’s far from the truth and another fact you need to know about is that Jackson is also among the tallest in the MCU.
The actor has generally either been cast in villainous roles or as mentors, which don’t require his height to be stressed upon within the film. And yet, Sam Jackson will dwarf most of the people in the world, what with him standing at such a respectable height of 6 feet 2 inches.
8 Elizabeth Debicki - 6 Feet 2 Inches
Female actors in the MCU have generally been of average height, making Elizabeth Debicki well worth the tag of being one of the tallest female celebrities. Her role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 did tie into her stature, being the queen of a race of aliens known for their tall nature.
The only actor she’s been cast against known to be taller than her is Armie Hammer. Other than him, Elizabeth usually reaches taller heights than her co-stars. She certainly gets extra points for owning her natural height and making it an attractive quality. Debicki is not set to portray Princess Diana in the upcoming season of The Crown.
7 Idris Elba - 6 Feet 2.5 Inches
Elba was recently in the news for admitting he wasn’t too fond of his character on The Wire. Heimdall isn’t a role he’s said anything against, whom he played half a dozen times in the MCU. Like any Asgardian, Heimdall was also quite tall.
This comes down to Idris Elba’s respectable height, something that has only made calls from him to be the next James Bond louder. He certainly does have the right look for the role, and the height lands him among the tallest actors in the Marvel franchise.
6 Dave Bautista - 6 Feet 3 Inches
He might not be known to spend as much on expensive things as co-star Chris Pratt, but Dave Bautista does beat him in the height department. The WWE used to exaggerate his height to 6 feet and 6 inches, although Bautista is still rather tall!
His muscled frame guarantees him a look that makes him seem much bigger than he might be. In any case, his natural height is still far taller than most people in the world, which somehow makes his comedic moments as Drax even funnier.
5 Chris Hemsworth - 6 Feet 3 Inches
There wasn’t any chance for Thor to be someone who was shorter and Chris Hemsworth is an obvious choice just by appearance alone. The actor has lived up to the Thor image with his physique, which is supplemented by his height.
Along with his role as Thor, Chris is also a model who’s been featured in a number of advertisements for brand endorsements. These come across as intended due to his height complementing the look needed for these ads, and Hemsworth can be proud of how he’s managed to play his tallness into his roles.
4 Paul Bettany - 6 Feet 3.5 Inches
People are surprised to know how great of a voice actor Paul Bettany is, not realizing that he’d been playing J.A.R.V.I.S. for seven years before taking on the role of Vision. His roles have never required him to play into his height, which makes it even more surprising how tall he is.
Bettany even beats the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Dave Bautista, making it a shame that we haven’t seen him in a more physical role. With WandaVision’s cast being generally on the short side, Bettany is going to look like a giant in that series.
3 Lee Pace - 6 Feet 4 Inches
Here’s another actor whose height is a source of great astonishment. Lee Pace’s role as Ronan didn’t have him be in close proximity to anybody, which hid the fact that this guy is huge. His appearance in The Hobbit did do some justice to this aspect of him.
Anybody who’s watched him in Pushing Daisies can attest to him appearing so much taller than everyone else. He might not reach the top spot in the MCU overall, but Lee Pace does break into the top-3 position with a height of 6 feet 4 inches.
2 Jeff Goldblum - 6 Feet 4.5 Inches
His wife Emily has one of the most wholesome Instagram accounts a celebrity can have, where one can catch Jeff in his usual quirky antics as well. The actor looked in good company in Thor: Ragnarok due to the tall heights of Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, although he still beats them in this department.
Goldblum is one of those actors you just can’t imagine being a short guy, as his height seems to be part of his identity. It’s also helped him own the lead role in franchises like Jurassic Park and Independence Day.
1 Winston Duke - 6 Feet 5 Inches
It’s pretty impressive how the direction of Black Panther downplayed the height of Winston Duke’s character, as the actor truly is incredible in frame. This is easier to understand when you see Winston standing next to other actors, where he’s easily the tallest with a height of 6 feet 5 inches.
M’Baku didn’t even look that short next to giant characters in Avengers: Endgame and that was all Duke’s own height rather than any CGI trickery. He can easily nab leading roles with such an impressive height, and it will be interesting to see how he fares against other well-known actors on-screen.
