Meghan and Harry fans have slammed the portrayal of the pair in the mainstream media in light of their upcoming Oprah interview.

Social media have compared their "unfair treatment" compared to that of fellow royal Prince Andrew.

The Duke of York has been condemned for his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Often referred as the Queen's "favorite son" he has yet failed to answer questions from the FBI.

One of Meghan and Harry's biggest critics - Piers Morgan - has agreed with the lack of attention on Prince Andrew. There is currently a Buckingham Palace investigation into alleged bullying of royal aides on Meghan's part. But none so far concerning Prince Andrew allegedly sleeping with underage girls.

"Of all the whataboutery being spewed on here by Meghan/Harry fan trolls, the only one I agree with is about Prince Andrew. If there's going to be a Palace investigation into Meghan's alleged bullying, there should be one into Andrew's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Urgently," Morgan tweeted.

"British Media and British folks are more pissed off at Harry and Meghan for doing an interview with Oprah Winfrey than they are with Prince Andrew being a Pedophile who's still refusing to speak to the FBI about his relationship with his pedo besty Jeffrey Epstein," another added.

"At least Harry and Meghan are up for interviews with the US. Prince Andrew hasn’t been so forthcoming," a third chimed in.

Meanwhile journalist Omid Scobie has defended Meghan and Harry on British television.

The co-author of Harry and Meghan biography Finding Freedom spoke on Good Morning Britain from his Canary Wharf home this morning.

He told presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd: "This is an institution that remained silent about the allegations about Prince Andrew. It does feel we have a slightly uneven playing field here."

But royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told MailOnline that Mr Scobie's comments were not "disingenuous."

He explained Prince Andrew is no longer a working member of the royal family, "faces serious allegations" and has "promised to take part in FBI investigation into Epstein's accomplices to bring justice for his victims."

However he still holds his military titles - while Prince Harry has been stripped of his.

Meghan and Harry have been critcized after it emerged they won't delay the release of their Oprah Winfrey interview - despite Prince Philip's hospitalization.
