Especially in recent months, there has been a lot of talk surrounding Mayim Bialik. For starters, The Big Bang Theory star got called out for her supposed vaccine stance (that matter has since been cleared up). At the same time, Bialik had also been tapped to host primetime Jeopardy! specials. More recently, she had also been asked to host syndicated episodes of the show following the controversy surrounding Mike Richards.

Meanwhile, as far as her personal life is concerned, Bialik remains a devoted mother to her two boys. She’s also decided to keep much of her romantic life private since divorcing from husband Michael Stone in 2013. Nonetheless, fans of the actress are still wondering how Bialik has truly been since her split.

Her Family Is ‘Okay’ Following The Divorce

Back in 2013, Bialik confirmed that she and Stone were splitting up after “much consideration and soul-searching.” The actress also emphasized that the former couple were focusing on getting their two sons through this ordeal. “The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible,” Bialik said in a statement. “Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on.” The actress also assured fans, “We will be ok.”

Later on, Bialik opened up life after getting divorced. “In other news, I am doing great. I am not a sad sack of potatoes, at least not all of the time,” the actress explained in a blog entry. “My boys are doing great, their dad is doing great. We are okay.” Bialik also revealed that she had a great support system that had been helping her cope with the situation. “The struggles I am sharing are struggles that I hope have universal aspects to them, but I am working through all of it with support of friends and a great therapist and lots of nourishing myself with time for music and art and adjusting.”

Over the years, Bialik also candidly discussed what it’s like to co-parent with Stone. For instance, she once did a vlog about spending the holiday with her ex and her ex’s girlfriend. Bialik also proceeded to detail a trip they had taken as a family with their mothers in tow. Reflecting on their experience as a divorced couple vacationing with their kids, Bialik wrote, “I know now to let him be him and to let him have his feelings without managing or controlling him. We parent differently.” In 2018, she also talked about celebrating her ex on Father’s Day writing, “It’s important for me to be constantly reminded that my sons’ father is so valuable, as are the many men in all of our lives who contribute to our sense of what it means to father

She Suffered Another Heartbreak Right Around The Holidays

Years after her divorce, Bialik had a relationship with an unnamed man for five years. They split up back in 2018, right around the holidays. “There is rarely good timing for a breakup. But most certainly, the worst time is now,” the actress wrote. “Because say what you will, the holidays are a time to not be recently broken up. I know this much is true.” Despite her misery, Bialik also remained positive that everything will eventually work out, even stating, “You have to know darkness in order to see light.”

Bialik saw light in no time. During an interview with USA Today in 2019, the actress even said she’s ready for romance again. “I’m gonna go the old-fashioned route, either none, or the way people used to meet like by being set up by friends.”

She Recently Confirmed That She’s In A Relationship Again

Earlier this year, Bialik confirmed that she is currently in a relationship, even telling The Jewish News Syndicate, “I got divorced eight years ago, so I’ve been single plenty in my life. I promise you, I know what it’s like.” More importantly, the actress also confirmed that her new beau is Jonathan Cohen, the co-creator of the YouTube show Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown. According to their site, the two “met 10 years ago at a toddler birthday party and began a connection fueled by shifting the collective understanding of mental health and emotional well-being.”

It is unclear if Bialik and Cohen had been staying with each other when much of the U.S. had gone under lockdown. Despite all the challenges she encountered during quarantine though, the actress had managed to make the most of her time by bonding with her sons. “One of the things that I’ve been trying to do is find any way to engage with them or connect with them,” Bialik explained during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She even asked her older son, Miles, to teach her about TikTok.
