Millie Bobby Brown has been one unstoppable force ever since she rose to fame after getting cast in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Since then, the actress has gone on to book several other high-profile projects, landing the lead role as Henry Cavill’s sister in the Netflix film Enola Holmes and also joining the cast of the Godzilla franchise.

And with Stranger Things coming to an end after Season 5, Brown has certainly been busy pursuing various other roles. At the same time, word also just got out that the English actress has just gotten her biggest paycheck yet, and it’s a lot more than she’s ever been paid for playing Eleven throughout the show’s four seasons.

Long Before Stranger Things Season 4, Millie Bobby Brown Got A Raise

When Brown first signed on to Stranger Things, she was mostly an unknown talent, having only starred in the British series Intruders and some guest appearances in Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family, and NCIS. And so, for Stranger Things Season 1, Brown and her fellow young cast mates were reportedly only paid a modest $30,000 per episode.

But then the show exploded in popularity, which caught Brown by surprise at first. “Everybody was like, ‘The show is really good’ and I was like, ‘Okay,’ like I don’t know what you’re talking about, this is just a little show in Atlanta, Georgia. And then three days later my whole life changed,” the actress explained.

With the show becoming a massive hit, the cast also received massive salary increases for season 3 (they also received huge bonuses ahead of season 2). And with much of the show’s young stars reportedly getting $200,000 per episode, Brown, who emerged as its breakout star, supposedly received a much bigger raise, putting her just below her more established co-stars, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.

And while Brown may have jokingly asked Stranger Things creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, to feature some character deaths in the show’s final season, it seems the actress is fine with whatever happens next.

“Because the Duffers have always done everything that I’ve wanted for Eleven, I’m gonna leave it up to them. I know it’s a really boring answer, but I don’t think about it,” Brown said in a recent interview. “Soon as I get on set, they tell me what I’m doing, and that’s it.”

Millie Bobby Brown Is Earning $10 Million For The Enola Holmes Sequel

Aside from Stranger Things, Brown has also worked with Netflix on the film Enola Holmes, which sees the actress portray the titular character who also happens to be the little sister of Sherlock Holmes (Cavill). Unlike in hit series though, Brown has been more involved with the film from the beginning.

As it turns out, the actress has been fascinated by the character since reading it when she was younger. And when she got a little older, Brown decided it was time to adapt the story for the big screen.

“One day, I said to my dad, ‘I really think we have to make this film.’ He said okay, and he went and found a studio. We partnered with Legendary because I’d been working with them on Godzilla,” Brown explained.

“They always appreciated my voice, they valued it, which I always loved. I knew this was something I could really talk about with them, and feel comfortable with working with them, because of my past relationship.” From there, they put together the film’s cast and crew.

Meanwhile, even back then, Brown was also quite convinced that a sequel just had to happen. “There’s more of the story to be told. The story isn’t over yet. She isn’t grown up, there’s no conclusion,” the actress noted. “I think she’ll forever be someone who is always evolving, but there’s definitely more to be shown on screen.”

Netflix officially announced Enola Holmes 2 in 2021 with both Brown, Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter (who plays their mother) reprising their roles. The follow-up to the 2020 hit will see Brown’s Enola take on her first case as a detective.

At the same time, it was also recently revealed that Brown will receive an impressive $10 million for her onscreen work in this film. Since the actress also serves as a producer though, it is possible that Brown will be collecting a lot more than that when all is said and done.

Netflix is yet to announce an actual release date for Enola Holmes 2, although the streamer has said that the film is coming out sometime in 2022. Meanwhile, fans can also expect to see Brown in several other upcoming movies.

These include the film adaptation of The Electric State from Joe and Anthony Russo, which will also see the actress star alongside Chris Pratt.
