Ahead of the premiere for the highly anticipated iCarly reboot series, Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay), Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay), and Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson) appeared in a reunion special held by Paramount Plus.

The three cast members got a chance to reminisce about their fondest memories from the original show, a kids' sitcom about three kids who start a webseries together, and talk about the upcoming revival.

When the cast was asked to name their favorite guest stars from the show, Cosgrove was hesitant to share her choice at first. “I don’t know...I can’t just pick one, they’re all…”

Kress then pushed her to name someone in particular, in which she responded with a laugh, “OK, Harry Styles.”

Styles appeared with his fellow band members, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne, in the Season 6 episode titled “iGo One Direction.”

The famous boy group was on the show in 2012 - in the plot of the episode, the band visits the webshow set, and Harry ends up getting sick. When the events in the episode conclude, the group performs their hit song “What Makes You Beautiful.”

Trainor chimed in after Cosgrove and revealed that his favorite guest star appeared in the 2009 episode “iMake Sam Girlier.”

In the episode, Spencer is trying to impress a supermarket employee named Veronica, who is played by actress Valerie Azlynn. Spencer is convinced that Veronica likes him because of how he looks in a black tuxedo, so he ends up wearing the suit to the store all the time.

“I liked the girl from the tuxedo,” he shared. “She was beautiful, and I was just like [makes flustered sounds], and I couldn’t talk to her in real life. But in no world would she ever…” Trainor trailed off, indicating that he thought the woman was out of his league.

However, Kress was convinced that the feelings were mutual between the two. “No, she was feeling it,” he said.

Earlier this week, Paramount+ released a first look at the opening sequence from the revival series. The montage features the original song from the Nickelodeon show, which was sung by Cosgrove.

While the reboot won’t feature Jennette McCurdy, who played Sam Puckett, Kress, Trainor, and Cosgrove will reprise their roles from the original series.

The series will feature new cast members Laci Mosley and Triplett as Millicent, who plays Carly’s best friend Harper and Freddie’s stepdaughter, Millicent.
