Morgan Wallen came onto the music scene like a rocket. Unlike most who enter the entertainment industry and have to work for years to achieve their dreams of stardom, Wallen bucked that trend and made a name for himself in a matter of a few short years, starting with his popularity during and after appearing on The Voice.

During this time, he not only worked with top names in county music and released hit after hit, but he also amassed a small fortune for himself as well. A $4 million dollar fortune to be exact, something of which many are still wondering how he managed to amass in such a short period of time.

Wallen first made country music executives and fans take notice of him during Season Six of The Voice, where he was coached by not only one but two of the most famous celebrity coaches, Usher and Adam Levine.

While the country singer with the feathery mullet was ultimately voted off of the show, he had made his mark. Because of this, shortly after his exodus from the reality show, Wallen was picked up by Panacea Records. With his short time at the label, in 2015, the country music singer released his first single, Stand Alone.

Wallen's talent was immediately recognized by the who's who in the music industry. Because of this, Wallen made his jump to a larger label, Big Loud Records, in 2016. This is where he ultimately released the debut album If I Know Me.

And once the singles from the album made it to the airwaves, Wallen's bank account began to reap the rewards. Here is how Morgan Wallen amassed his $4 million net worth.

Most Of Morgan's Net Worth Comes From Signing A Record Deal

When Wallen signed a contract to be represented by Big Loud Records, he did not sit idly by waiting to put together his debut album. He went to work right away, and by 2018, had compiled enough songs to release If I Know Me.

His second album, Dangerous: The Double Album, was released in 2021. Both albums were received with huge accolades and awards to boot.

It was the success of these albums that led to the majority of Wallen's wealth. This is staggering to think about given that the country star has only released two albums in the time that he has been with Big Loud Records.

That coupled with the fact that album sales and streaming are not the ways that artists make money, according to Insider, make this fact even more mind-boggling. It pays (literally) when a record company has faith in their talent and is willing to pay top dollar from the start.

Morgan Is Not Only A Singer But Is A Songwriter As Well

While Big Loud Records provided Wallen with money for his album deal, the singer is also a songwriter. And his talents lead to a pretty penny that adds to Wallen's overall wealth.

According to Famously Wealthy People, when Wallen writes his own songs, he makes $50,000 per song. It does not matter if he collaborates, writes a song for another artist, or the song becomes a hit on his own album.

If a song that Wallen has worked on is recorded by any artist, he makes money off of it.

Touring Pays Morgan Wallen Well

The bread and butter for most artists comes from touring. And while it is hard work with a grouping schedule, when touring happens large paychecks follow.

According to Security Boulevard, these days Wallen is reportedly receiving $80,000 per concert he performs at.

While it is uncertain what the Whisky Glasses singer made from his tours from 2017 through 2020, during that time, Wallen performed nearly 300 times. Regardless, it is certain he made a substantial amount of money.

Now, with the Dangerous Tour underway and there being over 60 venues still to play, Wallen is assured that his nest egg will only continue to grow.

Not too bad from an artist who has been suspended from his record label for his behavior and racial slurs made at the beginning of 2021. But as long as Wallen has his loyal fans, he will continue to make money.

Fans Continue To Support Wallen's Music Even Amid Controversy

After Wallen used a racial slur while out with friends in February 2021, country music executives moved quickly to show country music fans that this behavior would not be tolerated.

Within days, Wallen's music was no longer heard on the radio and he was fired by his talent agent, suspended from Big Loud Records, and was not eligible to be nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards.

While this should have stopped Wallen's popularity and stalled his career indefinitely, all it did was fuel fans to buy Wallen's music. And as a result, his fan base exploded.

Wallen is still on suspension from his record label, which should have ensured that no income was coming to the artist until the suspension was lifted or he was fired and potentially picked up by another label.

However, per the publication, just six months after the punishment came down from the country music world, Wallen announced that he was going on an eight-month tour to promote his album.

Given that industry leaders believe these concerts are going to sell out, the fortune that Wallen amassed in just a few short years, is looking to exceed $4 million in a very short period of time.
