15 Ansolet Rossouw
Nowadays, there are many fashion-related talents coming from South Africa. This year, South Africa’s pride Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned as the Miss Universe. Aside from her, another beautiful face is making a name on the runway. The 17-year-old with a fresh face and a signature pout from Bloemfontein is another name to watch out for. Ansolet Rossouw was discovered through a picture taken while she was lining up with her schoolmates wearing their school uniforms. Her unique look makes her stand out in a crowd.
It was Fanie Nel of FanJam who discovered her through Instagram. She was in Grade 11 at C and N Meisieskool Oranje in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Not long after her discovery, Fanie took her for her first studio photo shoot. She made her international debut at no less than the popular Dolce & Gabbana. Rossouw has also appeared on the pages of Marie Claire and graced runway shows for Tod’s and Francesco Scognamiglio.
The fashion blogs are currently abuzz about this unique new face. Rossouw revealed in an interview with News24 that the most important thing she learned from her newfound fame is to always stay true to oneself. She added that being true to oneself will make one stand out in the crowd.
Known only as Akiima, the new fashion industry’s "it girl" is only 22 years old. Before walking the catwalk on the hottest shows, she was a refugee from the northern suburbs of Adelaide, Australia. She is now the star at Adelaide’s Fashion Festival campaign in 2017. She was discovered by a local agency located in South Australia named Finesse. Akiima was signed on the spot after she walked into Finesse’s office.
She was born in a Kenyan refugee camp and moved to Australia. Akiima debuted walking in the runway for a local Australian fashion czar Carla Zampatti. Since then, she had walked for shows of big names in the fashion industry. This includes the Hermes resort 2018 collection in Paris in July 2017. (It was also during this time when she met her modeling heroine Naomi Campbell.) In Paris, she also walked for Azzedine Alaia and Schiaparelli.
Akiima said in an interview with Vogue Australia that she is using her platform to champion important subjects. She knows that younger girls look up to her as a role model and start dreaming about themselves in her shoes. As a former refugee care worker, Akiima plans on studying nursing in the future. Currently, she is under contract with IMG.
13 Naomi Chin Wing
The young model from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago has been turning heads in the fashion industry. The Trinidadian stunner recently celebrated her 18th birthday, but she has already secured herself a spot as one of the most sought-after faces in the industry.
In a report published by Harper Bazaar IMG Models’ Levi Asher shared that they discovered Naomi, they knew they have a star in their hands. He revealed that there is something about Naomi’s delicately placed features and elegant build that made her in place with the industry. The agency is looking forward to what the island girl can accomplish on the international runway.
The 18-year-old model's portfolio has been growing since she walked exclusively for Saint Laurent’s Summer/Spring '18 show.
Aside from this, she has also graced the runway for Dior, Alexander McQueen and Givenchy, among others. Naomi showed glamour in her own way during the breathtaking show that Valentino put on during the Paris S/S18 Couture Fashion Week.
The young Trinidadian joined the line-up of rising fashion models, Oumie Jammeh and Kaia Gerber. at the chic Hotel Salomon de Rothschild. The models were garbed in dresses with flowing feathers just right for the dreamy presentation.
12 Adut Akech
The 18-year-old supermodel was born in South Sudan and was raised in Kakuma in Kenya. She and her mother moved away from Kenya and became South Sudanese refugees in Adelaide, Australia. She is known in Adelaide as Mary because her Australian teachers were unable to pronounce her name. She was scouted numerous times by local modeling agencies. However, she started her career at 16 years old at Chadwick Models, which is based in Sydney, Australia.
Her aunt put together a local fashion show where Akech had her runway debut. After that, the rest is history. Akech joined the Melbourne Fashion Week and took digitals for a casting in Paris Fashion Week for Saint Laurent. She signed to Elite Model Management in Paris and debuted at S/S '17 show for Saint Laurent. As of this writing, she has closed two shows and done four campaigns with Saint Laurent.
Aside from these, she has also walked in two shows and done one campaign for Valentino. She's also making a name for herself by landing campaigns for other big names in the fashion industry, including Zara, Moschino, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Prada, Kenzo, Tom Ford and Miu Miu. She has also done editorials with American Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, British Vogue and I-D Magazine, to name a few.
11 Meghan Roche
She is an attractive combination of absorbing blue eyes and a pair of eyebrows that are Brooke Shields-worthy. Meghan Roche is a 17-year-old model who has beauty, brawn and brains. As an overachiever, she is a part of a top soccer team and studies at Ivy Leagues. She hails from Bucks County, Pennsylvania and is currently signed under the Women Management Agency.
Roche is one of the eight models that New York Times considers as the freshest and most intriguing faces for 2018. In her interview, she admitted that she was a tomboy growing up. She revealed that she played for the best soccer club in the country. She also played for a top volleyball club and claimed that she never thought she would get into the world of fashion.

10 Shanelle Nyasiase
Harper Bazaar dubbed Shanelle Nyasiase as one of the freshest faces that defined the 2018 Autumn/Winter 2018 season. After last season’s breakout, it appears that this South Sudanese model is unstoppable. The latest face, which has been a substantial part of almost every big show, was born in Ethiopia and was raised in Kenya.
In London, she stole the show at the Mulberry, Erdem and Burberry shows.

She was scouted at 12 years old and she is a favorite among designers during the Spring/Summer 2018 season.
Motler made her debut at the catwalk on Calvin Klein during the New York Fashion Week last year. She also walked for Helmut Lang, Sacai and Valentino, to name a few. During the Spring/Summer 2018, she finished the season walking for 24 shows. She is now the new face of Zara for 2018.

The American fashion model born in Egypt made history when she is opened a Prada Show. The 20-year-old Sudanese is the first black model to do it since Naomi Campbell in 1997. Fate knocked on her door during the homecoming celebration at Howard University in Washington, D.C., which is when she was discovered. Yai was soon taken by Next Models that helped her make her dream come true.
In an interview with Vogue, Yai revealed that she had always wanted to be a model, but her hesitation got the best of her. She revealed that she's not always sure what she'll be doing at any given moment because the industry is changing so much. The young model of Sudanese descent also said that she wants to be the best model on the runway and take her career as far as possible. Aside from that, Yai also wants to make an impact on the world and shared that it is her passion to show it through fashion and art, science and social media.
A big highlight of her career is obviously walking in the Spring/Summer 2018 campaign for Prada, but she will also be in the upcoming Nike campaign for Riccardo Tisci, the former creative director of Givenchy and current CEO of Burberry. 7 Oumie Jammeh
