Over the years, we've seen a number of insanely talented musicians who have gone on to have successful careers and be honored with a number of awards. The biggest award you can receive in the music industry is the highly coveted Grammy Award. To receive a nomination is a huge accomplishment in itself. As a result, many artists work their hardest to try to get on that impressive list of Grammy Award nominations as well as Grammy Award winners.

Believe it or not, some of the greatest musicians in the world have never had the honor of receiving a Grammy. Artists like Diana Ross, Jimi Hendrix, and even Queen have received a number of nominations throughout their careers, but never actually won an award. Although they've had successful and legendary careers outside of the Grammys, many of these artists have somehow never received that coveted award.

10 Queen

Queen is arguably one of the best rock bands that have ever made music, and had one of the best lead singers to ever grace the stage. As big of a band that Queen was, and still is even after Freddie Mercury's death, they've never won a Grammy award. The band was nominated a total of four times — twice in 1976 and two times in 1980. Unfortunately, despite being insanely talented, they never won an award. Even though they've never officially won, they're still one of the greatest bands out there today, and Freddie Mercury has left a legacy that will live on forever.

9 Diana Ross

We all know that Diana Ross is one talented woman, but despite that, she's never won a Grammy award. Over the years, Diana has been nominated for the coveted award a total of 12 times. Even though she's never won the actual award, three of her songs with the Supremes have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

As if that weren't enough, she also received the Lifetime Achievement Award back in 2012. It's really hard to believe that Diana achieved all of these milestones and still never actually won a Grammy. Regardless, she's still one of the most successful female artists of all time.

8 Nas

Nas is one of the most talented rappers in the music industry, so much so that he received his first Grammy nomination in 1996. Since then, Nas has gone on to get a total of fourteen nominations over the years, however, he's never won a single Grammy. He's been nominated for Best Rap Album five times now, yet he's never been able to take home the title. Hopefully, that will be able to change this year as he was nominated for Best Rap Album for King's Disease for the 2020 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

7 Katy Perry

With all of the success that Katy Perry has had over the years, it's hard to believe that she's a musician who has never won a Grammy. With hits like "I Kissed A Girl," "Teenage Dream," and "Hot N Cold," it's understandable that Katy was nominated for a total of thirteen Grammys over the years. Despite the fact that Katy has all of these nominations under her belt, she still hasn't been able to take home the big prize. Katy still has a lot of time ahead of her, and with the successful career she already has, she's most than likely able to take home a Grammy eventually.

6 Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix is one of the most talented guitar players in the world, and since he died, he's left a legacy that will forever be remembered. Despite being one of the most talented musicians to ever walk the planet, Jimi has also never won a Grammy. He was nominated once in 1970 for Best Contemporary Instrumental Performance and unfortunately lost.

Despite that, he was honored with the lifetime achievement award in 1992, even though it was decades after his death. Even though Jimi never actually won a Grammy award, he still left behind music and a legacy that will forever be remembered.

5 Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj is one of the best and most talented female rappers in the music industry. Out of everything she has, there's one thing that she doesn't have — a Grammy award. Over the years, Nicki has been nominated a total of ten times, her first nomination coming in 2010 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "My Chick Bad." Nicki's career is still thriving, and she still has plenty of time to try to work and earn that coveted Grammy award.

4 Martina McBride

Country star Martina McBride has made a huge impact on the country music scene for years now. Although she's had such a successful career and is one of the most famous faces in music, she's never been able to take home a Grammy award. Martina has been nominated for a Grammy a total of fourteen times over the years but never won one. Her first nomination came in 1994 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and her most recent nomination in 2011 for Best Country Solo Performance. Martina still has plenty of time to take the big award home one day.

3 The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys brought us some of the best music back in the 60s and paved the way for a number of other musicians in the years to follow. Unfortunately, despite the success of the band, they never were able to take home a Grammy Award. The group was nominated a total of four times, three of which came in 1966 for "Good Vibrations." Although they never won an award, they took home the Lifetime Achievement Award back in 2001, which is a huge accomplishment in itself.

2 Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is by far one of the most accomplished rappers in the industry and has been for decades now. Since his career took off, he was nominated for a total of sixteen Grammy awards over the year, but unfortunately, he has never won a single award. His first nomination came in 1993 for "Nothin' But A "G" Thang," and his most recent nomination was in 2015. It's surprising to see that someone with a career like Snoop Dogg's has never won a Grammy, but he still has plenty of years to change that.

1 Sia

By far, Sia has one of the best voices in the music industry today, and you'd think that she'd definitely have a handful of Grammys by now. Unfortunately for Sia, that's not the case. Over the years, Sia was nominated for a Grammy a total of nine times but wasn't able to take anything home. Her first nomination came in 2012 for her collaboration on "Wild Ones," with her most recent nomination in 2017 for "Never Give Up." Sia still has a long successful career ahead of her, so she definitely has plenty of time to potentially win a Grammy award.
