Ages ago, Natalie Imbruglia was a huge success in pop music. Not only did she have chart-topping songs (like the mega-hit "Torn"), but she also modeled for a handful of brands and appeared in films. In fact, Imbruglia's early career earned her a net worth of about $14 million.

But fast forward a few decades, and fans began to wonder where Natalie went, what had happened to her, and mundane things like what she looks like today. Then, in 2015, the songstress launched her fifth studio album and decided to host a Reddit AMA in honor of its release.

The idea was that the singer and actress would field questions from fans, ostensibly related to her album launch. In her short bio, which is usually where Redditors explain why they're hosting AMAs and how they're qualified to do so, Imbruglia heavily promoted her album and her social media channels.

But that wasn't what irked fans who logged on to chat with the star.

Though some fans asked seemingly silly questions like, "Are you still out of faith? And if so, is that how you feel?" (referencing her hit song), others had serious questions for Natalie. Some of the AMA questions centered on her upcoming tours, what it was like writing her recent album, and similar themes.

One fan even asked how Imbruglia felt about comments people had made about her looks. After all, the focus should have been her music. The strange thing, which some fans discussed in the comments, was that Natalie didn't take the time to answer all or even most of fans' questions.

In fact, one commenter pointed out (and others agreed) that Natalie seemed to have been responding to a handful of accounts only. These Redditors think that Natalie may have publicized her AMA ahead of time, leading to some people creating accounts just for the purpose of joining the thread.

The suspicious part about this is that Natalie seemingly engaged more with certain commenters rather than others, they elaborated, so it almost felt staged.

Though not every Reddit AMA is a success, this one was overshadowed by awkward exchanges between Natalie and her dedicated fans, while some inquiries were entirely overlooked by the star.

Essentially, multiple commenters lamented the fact that Natalie didn't really stick around long to answer questions. Not only that, but she was also choosy about which questions she answered.

For example, questions about her spirituality and how it impacts her music were seemingly ignored. And some questions received a very brief reply while others received an entire paragraph.

It may be unfair of fans to pick apart Natalie's time on AMA, but it's safe to say more than a few were a bit disappointed. Still, the fact that Imbruglia is still creating new music hints at the fact that her fans are important — even if she doesn't catch all of their Reddit questions.
