Netflix subscribers and country fans, in general, probably never expected to see the names Katharine McPhee and Eddie Cibrian on the same show credits. But that's what's about to happen with the new series 'Country Comfort,' and it's actually pretty intriguing.

For one thing, Eddie Cibrian has kind of been laying low ever since his ex, Brandi Glanville, aired the former couple's dirty laundry on 'RHOB.' But he's also married to LeAnn Rimes, another country superstar.

So it's strange all-around to think that Eddie will also be joining a show with another celeb, sort of following in his ex's footsteps, only in a different creative direction. And for the record, his marriage is just fine (and LeAnn Rimes only has a singular regret about her 'love story' with him).

Obviously, 'Country Comfort' won't include the kind of drama fans will find on 'Real Housewives.' But the show promises to offer entertainment of some sort -- and fans want to know whether it's worth tuning in!

Here are the basics: Katharine and Eddie are the two leads on the show, and Eddie plays a "handsome widower" who's looking for a nanny. Katharine stumbles in ("country singer Bailey") and winds up with a new job: working for the cowboy and his five kids.

It sounds a lot like 'Jessie' in a lot of ways; naive country gal walks into a nannying situation she's not quite equipped for. The kids grow on her, she falls in love, and the series ends with happily ever after and whatnot.

Fans can already imagine the trajectory of 'Country Comfort,' except that it's different from 'Jessie' in a few ways. First of all, Jessie wound up falling for the bell boy where her employer's family lived. In Netflix's comedy, Bailey is a grown-up who probably won't be able to resist the charms of the cowboy patriarch of the family.

So how will it all play out across the series' first ten episodes? Deadline explains that the show's creator is the creative mind behind 'The Nanny' -- Caryn Lucas. So it follows that fans can expect the Netflix series to be absolutely hilarious, though a bit more modern than Fran Drescher's nannying era.

But fans can also expect some musical entertainment -- of course! -- because the widower and his five kids have some talent on stage, too. The cast includes Ricardo Hurtado, a potentially recognizable face from Nickelodeon and the Netflix series 'Malibu Rescue.'

Fresh and adorable faces like Jamie Martin Mann, Pyper Braun, Shiloh Verrico, and Griffin McIntyre will also appear. But it may not be all saccharine sweetness and family singalongs; Caryn Lucas also co-wrote 'Miss Congeniality,' so fans can expect a bit of sass and hilarity in the storyline, too.

But of course, they'll all have to tune in when the show hits Netflix on March 19th.
