After six years off screen, Rebelde has returned to the halls of this iconic school with a fresh group of students eager to make their mark on the Music Excellence Program.

Rebelde is a Mexican teen drama series that premiered on Netflix on Jan. 5. Although the Netflix series is considered a reboot, it is actually a continuation of the iconic 2004 Mexican telenovela of the same name.

It follows a new generation of students attending the prestigious Elite Way School as they try their best to win the Battle of the Bands. Every teen character has their own struggles as they try to navigate growing up, finding love and friendship and stardom.
It doesn’t help that Elite Way School have a threatening rival called the Lodge, trying to stop them from reaching their full potential. Fans have loved this update on the iconic Mexican telenovela. Many have Tweeted their adoration for the attractive cast of characters, rooting for their relationships and copying their stylish looks.
The cast of wannabe stars includes Azul Guaita, Sergio Mayer Mori and Franco Masini. One returning cast member includes Estefanía Villarreal, who plays Director Celina Ferrer in Netflix’s Rebelde. Celina, appeared in the original series of Rebelde and now appears as the director.
