Finally, after starring in eleven different movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Scarlett Johansson now has a standalone movie for her character, Black Widow, a.k.a. Natasha Romanoff.

Marvel released a new Black Widow trailer yesterday, April 3, more than a year after the first official trailer that was released on March 9th, 2020.

The new 2-min trailer starts off with Johansson narrating as Romanoff, creating a mysterious vibe saying when she says, “You don’t know everything about me. I’ve lived a lot of lives.”

The trailer begins with a montage of her character in different Marvel movies, like The Avengers, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Endgame.

“Before I was an Avenger, before I got this family, I made mistakes choosing between what the world wants you to be, and who you are.”

These words said by Natasha refer directly to her “dark” past, and in general to her life before she teamed up with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.

Further along in the trailer, Romanoff meets her sister, Yelena Belova, (Florence Pugh) and they exchange punches along with pleasantries, before deciding to, “go back to where it all started so they never do that to anyone again.”

The new trailer also gives us a better look at the movie’s main villains; Dreykov (Ray Winstone) and Taskmaster, who is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent turned mercenary in the comics. He possesses the ability to replicate physical skills.

Dreykov assigns Taskmaster to “Bring her (Natasha) home,” after which he sets out on an explosive journey to fulfil the task.

The new trailer features David Harbour as Alexie Shostakov/Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff: Romanoff's father and mother-like figures, respectively.

While a younger Shostakov (Harbour) can be seen calling her girls “the toughest girls in the world,” Vostokoff (Weisz) is seen apologizing to Natasha about something in the past and says, “I’m sorry, we had our orders and we played our roles.”

With all this packed into the latest trailer of Black Widow, the movie, inarguably, has much more to offer, with the cameo role of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man being the first of them.
