New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) rose to fame in the late eighties and ignited what would become a boy band phenomenon. After the release of their album Hangin’ Tough in 1988, teenage girls everywhere had posters of Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, and Danny Wood adorning their bedroom walls. Their merchandise was in every store. There was even an NKOTB Saturday morning cartoon.

In the mid-nineties, the Boston-based band fell apart, and the boys went their separate ways, but they reunited in 2008 to release their seventh album. Since then, they’ve made even more music, completed several successful tours, and hosted a series of cruises for died-hard fans. Despite most of the band members now being in their late 40s or early 50s, NKOTB shows no signs of slowing down. Here’s what they’ve been up to lately.

The almost three-hour experience featured fireworks, a host of special effects, and more than thirty songs from their repertoire. Nineties group Bel Biv Devoe also made an appearance.

In 1999, he married Kimberly Fey and had two sons, but they divorced in 2008. He got engaged to and wed Jenny McCarthy in 2014. The couple just renewed their wedding vows on their seven-year anniversary. Donnie’s produced and starred in shows such as Rock This Boat, Donnie Loves Jenny, and Return of the Mac (which also starred Joey McIntyre). In July 2020, Donnie let fans know that her health was deteriorating, and in April 2021, she passed away from dementia.

Over the years, Jordan has appeared on reality shows such as American Juniors and The Surreal Life. Since 2016, he’s also co-owned a restaurant in Milton, Massachusetts called Novara.

Jon Knight, Jordan’s brother and oldest member of the group, was the first to leave the band. He partnered with a friend and began flipping houses, a business that steadily grew over the years. In 2009, fans found out he was gay when his ex-boyfriend, Kyle Wilker, shared the news with the National Enquirer. The year prior, Jon began dating personal trainer Harley Rodriguez. The pair have been engaged since 2016. In 2021, Jon became an HGTV star, appearing in a six-episode series called Farmhouse Fixer where he helped restore New England farmhouses. It’s just been renewed for a second season.

In the episode, Kimmy accidentally purchases fake NKOTB concert tickets for DJ’s birthday. To rectify the mistake, she tracks down the real band to ask for new tickets to the show. Joey McIntyre came back in 2020 to officiate Kimmy, Stephanie, and DJ’s wedding ceremony on the season five Fuller House finale.
