Niall Horan misses someone, according to his Twitter. Former One Direction drummer Josh Devine took that as his moment to reach out with a cheeky reply, saying that the feeling's mutual.

Their musical friendship sprouted from Facebook, and the rest is history. Although one of the most followed boy bands of all time has parted ways, Devine ensures fans and Horan that he's, "only a phone call away."

Tweeting And Reuniting

COVID has kept friends and family apart for quite some time now, and Horan tweeted that he, "Miss you," without specifying who exactly. Considering current events, we can gather that the message stands true for more than one person.

He, like other performers, misses performing live and connecting with fans. He also probably misses his friends in the industry and making hit songs with them.

Cue the entrance of Devine and his tweet, "’ I'm only a phone call away beautiful ;) hahaha. Hope ya keepin well mate x."

Devine began his long-held career with One Direction with a Facebook message about a "television gig," when the band was still in its first stages of fame.

He said in an interview with Jammcard back in 2016, "I didn't really prepare for what was going to happen because it was just a two-month tour."

What followed was a friendship that held its strength long after the tours faded away.

Directioners on Twitter who know Devine couldn't help but get sentimental. One posted, "Am I crying? Maybe. I hope you all keep a bit of contact, I'm not gonna lie, it's hard to keep the fandom together atm."

Fans Roll Out The Memes

Niall did not publicly respond to Devine, but hopefully, he texted off Twitter and caught up on life.

Musician Ashe, known for her viral TikTok single "Moral of the Story," also responded to Horan's tweet. She said, "Miss you too bud."
