It's almost here! Nick Cannon's brand new daytime TV show is coming soon to screens near you. Dude's gotta support all those kids somehow, right?

Fans are impressed that after a year of continuous scandals, the actor/comedian/TV personality is getting such a high profile gig. As we all know, those who host daytime talk shows are held to a pretty high standard of wholesome- and it can really come crashing down fast!

Fingers crossed Nick has more luck. Read on to learn why he might actually be profiting from a different TV host's unfortunate circumstances (as hinted at by his set)...

The Nick Cannon Show

There's a lot we know so far about Nick's soon-to-be-airing talk show. It's got some great guests, like Nick's comedian friends Kenan Thompson and Wayne Brady. It's got fun activity segments where Nick cooks with kids and puts audience members in elaborate costumes.

It even has a fashion segment, involving an actual runway and a digital backdrop. Those kinds of features are what have people talking right now. Check out the entrance Nick walks in from in the clip above!

It Looks Like 'Wendy Williams'

One of the top comments on Nick's big announcement post is from a fan who writes "Isn't that Wendy's Set?"

"I was thinking the same thing," wrote another fan, "buuut proud of him tho."

More and more comments across Nick's socials are speculating that his set isn't a new one, and we can see the argument! For 14 seasons, the 'Wendy Williams Show' has been filmed in New Yourk City's Chelsea Studios.

It's unclear which studios Nick is using for his show, but they're DEFINITELY in NYC. Nick told The Hollywood Reporter (back in January when his controversies pushed back the show's release date):

"It’s been a longtime dream of mine to host my own daytime talk show and that I’m able to do this in New York City, bringing daytime television back to the place that has fostered generations of talent, is very special to me."

Taking Over While Wendy's Unwell?

It's happened before! Nick guest hosted for Wendy in 2019 (shared here) and now some fans are convinced his talk show is just another short-term cover. Is Fox putting Nick in Wendy Williams' place until she's back to work?

For those not in the know, Wendy was recently hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation following a series of serious mental health struggles.

"I'm thinking maybe they had all of this planned out," reads one comment under Nick's post. "Wendy all of a sudden is sick and whatever else, then he has been speaking of his show and now this."

Since Nick's own show has been in the works for years now, we find this unlikely- but there's definitely a chance he's been using Wendy's set while she's away! Check out the full trailer and see what you think:
